Massage Parlor

Fine art loses out to a massage parlor.

In Pekanbaru, Riau, the Pekanbaru Arts Council no longer holds artistic shows or exhibitions because the building in which it is housed is used as a massage parlour.

The chairman of the Pekanbaru Arts Council, Wasnuri Marja, however says he never gave permission for a massage parlor:

Just report it to the police if it's true there's a massage parlor there.

Wasnuri said the Council was non-functional because of lack of funds. There had been no exhibitions or any artistic activity for five years, he said. The mayor of Pekanbaru, Herman Abdullah, had been approached for help but with no response. [1]

I think it’s more of a therapy, but who am I to question art form?
