Hizbut Tahrir

Dec 28th, 2006, in News, by

Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI) champions polygamy and rails against gender equality and domestic violence laws.

Aminah Yunus Rasyid of the Medan, North Sumatra branch of HTI said on the 19th of December during a demonstration outside the mayor’s office that the ideology of gender equality was a part of the trend towards liberalisation originating in the west that was being forced on Muslim women around the world.

About a hundred people were at the rally and they carried banners saying:

  • Beware of the destruction of generations.
(Awas KKG! KKG = Kerusakan dan Kehancuran Generasi)
  • Polygamy is permissible, free sex is forbidden.
(Poligami Halal Vs Free Sex Haram)
  • Law for the destruction of Families and Households
(UU PKDRT = UU Penghancuran Keluarga dan Rumah Tangga)
  • Making polygamy illegal is against the law of God.
(Mengharamkan Poligami = Menentang Hukum Allah)
  • We’re proud to be Muslim mothers.
(Kami Bangga Menjadi Ibu Generasi Muslim)

They also performed some street theatre, a play entitled “Legalisasi Aborsi, Khitan Melanggar HAM”, Legalising Abortion and Circumcision Violates Human Rights, in which they critiqued the wrong-headed modern tendency towards allowing abortion, which they say is not permissible according to Islam, while the government strove to stamp out female circumcision, a practice which is permitted within Islam.

Aminah said that Muslim women had to be on guard against the efforts of many to portray men and women as the same, against the campaign to enact a sexual equality law and the legalisation of abortion, because these things were intended to divorce Muslims from the law of God.

We can imagine what will happen if our feminine side is lost, to the point where we no longer want to look after a house and we leave our children just because we are busy trying to feel equal with men.

Lampung HTI Women March.

A similar theme was heard in Bandar Lampung, Lampung on the 21st of December as about 500 women and girls of Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia protested against the liberalisation of family life, and specifically against the law on domestic violence, UU Kekerasan dalam Rumah Tangga (KDRT) and the law for the protection of children, UU Perlindungan Anak. The women claimed that both laws threaten the integrity of the family. Domestic violence, they said, should be blamed on men’s lack of understanding of their correct role within the family. metrotv

    Guys,

    Don’t be fooled.

Either Polygamy, Poliandri or Free Sex are NOT forbidden!

    Only hypocrite against those concepts.

People who condemn sex is the most hypocrite person in the world. People like Priest, Monk, Pope, they against sex just in the surface, deep down in their heart they are no different with YZ, Eva, Paris Hilton, Aa Gym, etc.

In their dream, they could have hundreds or thousand wifes, when the morning comes they go to the bathroom and masturbate silently.

    O2

    O2

  3. Munafikbangetloepade says:

Who the f are behind this stinking bunch called HTI?

They are spreading disease within our society.

    They must be stopped.

  4. Madesh says:

As those who joined the rally were the second, third, fourth or may be twentieth waives. No wonder their number is much greater than the first wives in this hypocrite country.

  5. looking for sally says:

    Ha,ha,ha,ha…. poor Kartini.
Its like demonstrating ‘We have the rights to remain miserable”, we have the right to remain the servant, we are proud to be stupid, we are born to be inferior. Because the idea of equality is coming from west, west is evil, and anything came from the west is evil. Please leave us alone and stupid because that is the non western value, we are so stupid and proud mother. I am glad my mother was far from those creature.

  6. Ihaknt says:

WTF is wrong with these women? Are they educated? Are they brainwashed?

liberalisation originating in the west that was being forced on Muslim women around the world.

It is NOT forced. I wont do a job for half the pay just because I have a p**sy. I am speechless. Might as well these women go down the path they wanna go down to. Stupid is stupid does. I am sure there are men behind this group who are feeding them the wrong information. AAAAAAAAAARRRHHH me so frustrated now!

  7. bradlymail says:

Olong Olong. Sex is such a beautiful thing. To legalise sex by getting marriage. Enjoy it with one woman and you can feel it..eh..eh! Hei O2!

  8. Rockstar says:

What the heck? I thought they were lining up for the Playstation 3.

  9. Mohammed Khafi says:

According to Hizb ut-Tahrir, the Islamic state is one in which Islamic law – Sharia – is applied to all walks of life, and there is no compromise with other forms of legislation.

    Religious Fascism!

Given the radical ideas of the group and the conspiratorial nature of its political struggle, it is understandable that governments are concerned about its impact on stability.

Concerned about its impact? Not the Indonesian Government!

In much of the Middle East, the organisation is banned from acting openly, and many of its members have been imprisoned.

So even the Arab societies don’t like them, why should we? What political purpose are they serving to the lawmakers, politicians, police, and security services of Indonesia?

    *speechless* really *speechless*
Are they idiots or what! This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard in 2006, seriously. Hello, Mr President I think we need more money for education around here.

  11. Andrew says:

I’m amazed at the way these people at HTI think. Beyond repair.

  12. Munafikbangetloepade says:

Of course men and women are not the same. That’s why i prefer men (like me).

  13. Tomaculum says:

    Andrew:

I’m amazed at the way these people at HTI think.

    Think????

  14. Bas says:

Yes to Free Sex! No to polygami!

  15. J4K4 says:

Yes, Tomaculum, people who don’t think the same way as you do, don’t really ‘think’. We are the only ones in this planet that can really think clearly.

  16. ak says:

    Tomaculum, Insightful! Nice catch.

  17. Tomaculum says:

    Ak, happy new year.

  18. Julita says:

I was wondering whether it would be worth it to write:

O2: Either Polygamy, Poliandri or Free Sex are NOT forbidden!

I don’t know your age, but you must be kidding. Do you know anything at all about ‘love’ and ‘family life? Not even sure, that those you wrote could be found in the animal kingdom.

O2: Only hypocrite against those concepts.
People who condemn sex is the most hypocrite person in the world. People like Priest, Monk, Pope, they against sex just in the surface, deep down in their heart they are no different with YZ, Eva, Paris Hilton, Aa Gym, etc.

The above about priests, monks and popes, definitely show that you know nothing about Catholic faith, I advice you to study before posting comments like that. They DO NOT condemn sex on the contrary. You read about some who tarnish this beautiful Faith for their own selfishness but you don’t mention those along the ages were and still are offering their lives for others, for example doing the kind of work ‘Mother Teresa of Calcutta’ did.

  19. Hassan says:

Tomaculum: offcourse they think. It’s just that their thoughts are different than yours. Saying that we think or use our brains better than some other people is not a good thing to do, actually. We don’t know that for sure, do we? Perhaps those people whom we had mocked are actually more enlightened than us?

  20. Grace and Mercy says:

Those poor HTI women. I pray that they will find the truth, for if they know the truth, it will set them free (John 8:32)

  21. 1ndra says:

They have already found the truth, not in John 8:32, but in An Nisaa 4:3

It mentioned that IF you cannot be fair, just marry one!

Else you may marry but limited at four.

In the days before Quran, there’re poligamy everywhere, but the Quran limited only 4.
There’s no prohibitation, only ‘better not’ or do you know the difference between halal, makruh, haram?

  22. Ihaknt says:

1ndra…maybe the holy book they read was different from yours…by the sound of it, these women are misinformed…the poor women.

  23. Tomaculum says:

Tomaculum: offcourse they think. It’s just that their thoughts are different than yours. Saying that we think or use our brains better than some other people is not a good thing to do, actually. We don’t know that for sure, do we? Perhaps those people whom we had mocked are actually more enlightened than us?

Hassan, how can you be sure, that they think autonomous? Contextually seen with the base of current values and logic, it is maybe really questionable if those women and (those behind them) are really able to think (independent)?

    Oh, off course:

“we shouldn’t try to understand things happened some centuries ago with current values and logic”

(someone had given this statement). But they live in this era and with current values and not centuries ago.

And Hassan, are you really serious with this statement:

“Perhaps those people whom we had mocked are actually more enlightened than us?”

    ????
    🙂

If that is an enlightment, then I would rather stay on the wrong way.

  24. 1ndra says:

Hypocrite people is a person who said s/he wouldn’t do poligamy, but instead do selingkuh/zina/sex outside marriage, you know who.

Look here at Indonesia Matters, who got the best hits?

    Maria Eva (90335)
    Yahya Zaini Sex Scandal (77012)
    Porno Channels (18611)
    Abdullah “Aa Gym” Gymnastiar (5820)

    Or:

The message seems to be that online Indonesians are interested primarily in these things:

sex, and plenty of it thankyou
    blogging, chatting, networking
    geekery, techie and IT stuff
    webmaster and making money stuff
pictures, videos, possibly related to item one
    news
    jobs, careers

Too much people condemned that poligamy as sin, ironically they actually do sin theirself, even actually when poligamy isn’t sin.

  25. Ihaknt says:

    Tom

what is ‘the wrong way’? Does anyone truly know that? Maybe your path is the right one, maybe mine is. I mean, seriously, F*** knows.

But again, many indos, men or women, cant really think for themselves. they need to be spoon-fed all the time. Do we even know if these women are illiterate or not? Lots of questions to ask here.

Well, i am still speechless and slowly recovering from NYE. I reckon these women need to drink alcohol. that’ll sort them out!!!

1ndra selingkuh is more fun. It’s all about the thrill honey. heheheheh just joking.

  26. 1ndra says:

Whatever, I better live a life with one to one relationship. 😀 It’s more fun, and no burden to be fair.

  27. John Doe says:

Religion is a virus. It attacks the brain, stultifying logical thought, and in extreme cases may even show symptoms indicating the lack of one (a brain, that is). As a result, these Islamic creatures believe they are only 1% human, and 99% p*ssy…

What a shame to see a 7th-century Arabic disease still existing at the dawn of the 21st century…

  28. Dimp says:

    Hi Indra,

I think it is better to do “selingkuh” but never claimed that he/she is a “holy” person than do “polygamy” and claimed that this is the way that Allah intended.

And please don’t compare polygamy to selingkuh, they are the same.

  29. Ihaknt says:

Dimp, I don’t think they are the same. In poligamy the other party obviously knows that the partner is with another person but can she do anything? No. Is she allowed to seek a replacement? Of course not. In selingkuh then the other party may not find out (ever), or if she finds out then she can seek a divorce therefore she can move on and find a different husband. Or go ahead with the poligamy plan and have a menage a trois, quatre, cinq, whatever, but it’s not always as easy as it sounds. I think divorce is fairer because it lets the other party get on with their life and heal in their own time instead of having to witness these newlyweds right in front of your eyes. It’s like rubbing salt on your wound really.

  30. Dimp says:

What if the person doing the polygamy does not tell the other party, by doing kawin siri, while the person doing the selingkuh actually tell the other party?

I know I am just making assumption here, but the fact remains that polygamy and selingkuh caused by the same reason: ‘titit gatel’.
