A video recording has been circulating which purports to show a member of parliament from the Golkar party, with the initials Y.Z., and a lady dangdut singer, with the initials M.E., in a hotel room, frolicking about in a fashion thought by many only permissible within the bounds of holy matrimony. The man, Y.Z., may or may not be Yahya Zaini of East Java, who is currently on a study tour of Australia, although due to return on December 2nd. dpr The woman, M.E., is Maria Eva, or Maria Ireva, a singer and actress from Surabaya, East Java, who belongs to the Golkar youth organisation. The five to ten minute porno recording, believed to have been made in 2004, shows the nude singer laying on a bed, seductively one might imagine, while the politician, who is still standing and also stark naked, approaches her. He playfully attempts to take the camera away from the woman, which brings him into rather close contact with her. Shortly after the recording stops.

House leader of Golkar, Andi Matalatta, says he can’t be sure if Y.Z. is involved in the scandal but if he is he will be punished. Y.Z. was known to be a man of good moral character, he said, and so he wasn’t jumping to conclusions especially considering he hadn’t seen the video yet.
Chairman of parliament, Hidayat Nurwahid, remarked disapprovingly that parliamentary members have a respected position in society and so should behave themselves and keep their trousers on. antara The parliamentary ethics committee should take action, he said, unless Golkar itself took action and fired the man.
Deputy chairman of parliament, Muhaimin Iskandar, said if the woman in the video was Y.Z’s wife there was no problem, but if not, the code of ethics of the DPR had been violated.

Weah, I was surprised. We a group of 7 Indonesians in Arkansas watched the video at youtube just after we finished playing badminton. Some of us knew him exactly, HMI activists. Our discussion went making fun of YZ probably too much. He is stupid, impotent, bad-shaped, ugly, immoral, slut, and after all hypocrite.
Everybody loves sex, but why don’t we make it in legal, safe and dignified way. There are several options: getting married for singles, polygamy for the married. Other than those options can kill you some day. AIDS is a monster. You might be infected at a time, but what if you are……?
There lies controversy here. Different perpectives and opinions are normal. Most people might be hypocrites, but there are some that still stick on their ideals. PEACE!!!

Why catwoman? If a happily married couple decide to make a video of themselves for their own entertainment and pleasure, what is wrong with that. For me this scandal is not about the video per se but about the fact that is was made in an adulterous relationship, outside of marriage, and lead to the murder of an unborn child aided and abetted by the adulterors wife.
All done by two people for placed themselves as upright clean living members of our society. One of whom was actually involved in the making of this countries laws.
Although this is a sex scandal the biggest problem for me has been the deceit shown by YZ. Head of Golkars Religious Department, Campaining for the Anti Pornography laws.

The anti-pornography bill is a perfect way of preventing the “broadcast” of this kind of video and thus ensuring they enjoy undeserved power and prestige while living a clear double standard.
This is a person trying to get this law through, not surprising why really. Obviously his “moral integrity” is a sham. His desire for power is real tho
You see, the problem is as a religious and political leader he pushes hard for rules that are designed to affect millions of ordinary Indonesians, forcing a moral code he doesn’t personally believe in on them without care of the real affect on these ordinary people. And without doubt he isn’t the only one in power in Indonesia that expects everybody else to do as they say while they do what they want.
Society is the better determinant of what is appropriate to view or broadcast. Not a handful of corrupt two-faced power-mongers.

This is just a careless action did by an outstanding Indonesian representative. If he knows that he is a public figure, an outstading leader from one of biggest party in Indonesia, how come he doesn’t resist to be cam with.
