Habib Rizieq of the Islam Defenders’ Front says it is religiously permissible to murder George Bush.
During a speech given to a large crowd protesting against the upcoming visit by George Bush to Indonesia Habib Rizieq said at Jakarta on Sunday 19th November:
Bush can be killed by anyone who has the chance to kill him. It’s not just that it is permissible to kill him, he must be killed. I am prepared to be responsible for [saying] this in the hereafter.
(Bush halal dibunuh bagi siapa saja yang punya kesempatan untuk membunuhnya. Bush bukan saja boleh dibunuh tapi wajib dibunuh. Saya bertanggung jawab dunia akhirat.)
Upon saying these words Habib, who is the leader of the Front Pembela Islam (FPI), a radical Islamic group, was greeted with cries of “Allahu Akbar” (God is great) from the tens of thousands of people present at the demonstration outside the Istana Merdeka palace.
Habib Rizieq.
Habib said that Bush could legitimately be murdered because he has committed crimes against humanity, not because he is of a different religion and race. More blood-curdling cries of “Allahu Akbar” ensued. detik
because the time is short my friend… I’m not offended btw… but excuse my tone…
many people think time is running to slow. “oh okay, i know about Jesus, but maybe i’ll wait until tomorrow to seek the truth” all the sudden you found out that person already liying dead on the ground shot by a mislead hand gun.
you never know when my friend. if the truth may sound harsh and rude, so be it. truth hurts… all I want is to tell the truth.
don’t get fool by thinking time is slowing down. i may sound hurts many ears, it’s because I don’t wanna see people end up in hell…
leave his own hell alone? can’t do that my friend. hell is not belong to human. Christian or not… Moslem or not… stay away from hell dude.
Molisan, when I said “leave him the hell alone”, that was just a figure of speech. In English, when we want to emphasize something, we often put the word “hell” into the sentence. When “hell” is used this way, it does not keep its biblical meaning, but simply is used to show emphasis or anger.
For example, if somebody said something that made me really angry and I disagree with what he said, I might tell someone about it and say: “I don’t know what the hell he was talking about.”
So my sentence above had nothing really to do with hell like in the bible. I used a figure of speech to put emphasis on the last part.
See,
“Leave him the hell alone.” = “Leave him alone!”
Yes its funny to examine the figures of speech we use. To us they seem normal, but to people who aren’t native to our language, they can be strange and funny (and misunderstood).
peter, you really have been fooled about this mumdo jumbo science in the Quran, its absolute rubbish, algebrea was invented long before Islam, please check careful before you make acertions. oh yes you will have nice/kind Muslims that is because they remember there humanity not Islam.
if you have Islam on your mind, you will not be productive, its impossible to be nice to infidel genuinely, become proficient in math and sience, that is a laugh, i guess this is why we have more infidel(that includes 163 Jews please remember eistein was Jewish too) nobel price winners in sience and we have only 4 Muslims who probably studied in the west, the so called land of the infidel.
let me tell you sir,if Islam takes over the west it will become third world faster than you can think.i am sorry if i sound critical but its the truth, how many inventions does the Muslim world have patent on, science in the Quran is as laughable as jihad hating Muslim.to think i used to believe that too.
people with a desire to be master of there own life are big on relativity theory, for me i think if we search for God(Jesus said “he that thirst and hunger for rightiousness will be filled), we will find him and he his not relative, he his real and he made your freedom to choose him or not acceptable.
while on the subject of hell God is not in the business of sending anybody there(hell), but its as real as this earth is and we consciously choose to go there by our choice. its like choosing to go to the moon, because God said “before you there life and death choose life and live……” its our choice and He(God) respect that.
just yesterdays Muslims from the u.s., france, belgium, and turkey….. were cut planning another Islamic injunction, murder. it won’t stop until all infidel are made to pay jazyah ( submission tax)
Ismail,
The definitive text on algebra was written by Muhammad ibn Musa (a.k.a. Al-Khwarizmi) in the year 830 AD. It is called “Al-Jabr”, and was comissioned by one of the Abbasid Caliphs. The opening lines of the work read: “Bismillah al-rahman al-rahim…” In the text he develops the fundamental elements of algebra in order to more easily determine how to split inheritance among siblings according to Sharia law.
I know this because my father is a mathematician and we have a copy of this book at my house.
…Perhaps you should do some background research before you make nonsense claims to support your argument.
I am sorry you are so sour about Islam. All this anger you are showing will only disturb your mind and prevent you from seeing God. Jesus commanded you to love not just your friend but to love your enemy as well. You talk so much about Christ but you are not practicing what he commanded you to do.
I think if people really followed the religion they claim to belong to, this world would be so much more peaceful.
I think the mathematical basis was already known before Islam and Algebra is – to my opinion – not an invention of Islam or of any other religion but developed by a Moslem scientist, who thanked his God for the competency this God gave to him. Islam has here maybe a promotive rolle. And we should thank those people for this innovation. Isn’t it like the new technology, the base was already exsistent and it was and is developed by some people. The current era with its social condition advantage this developments.
I don’t know much about religion and I don’t want to know it, but I know enough, that some statements given up in this blog are dissent to the nature of any religion.
My comment from Dec, 4th was partially deleted, this is the complete text:
no where in world religions tell us what the truth is except Christ
And I wait for Santa Claus.
The (absolute) truth in any religion is that what we believe in. I think it is OK, if someone thinks like it and lives acorrding to the teachings he follows, but maybe we should use also our brain and our feeling (Javanese: rasa) a little bit and let the other practice their faith in peace.
The Moslems say their religion teachs the absolute truth, the Christs think the same, also the Hindus and the others. So there are soo many aboslute truths.
I for my self, I don’t have any absolute truth, I just try to use my brain and my rasa.
And my absolute truths are:
– to tolerate other faiths
– to help other in misery
– to respect everybody, even a beggar or a tukang becak
– to be civilised, polite and considerate
and more of such little things.
Off course I learn alot from the written holy books. I absorb the good parts and think about the “bad” passages (maybe there is something secret behind the “bad” teachings).
Tomaculum,
I never stated that algebra was “an invention of Islam” (what does that even mean?). I was using that as an example to support my argument that Islam was not wholly bad, and has had a far more positive effect than a negative effect. Whether you think algebra was already known before Al Khawarizmi is neither here nor there. Historians have long agreed that he is the principle originator of algebra. My point was that Islam was resonsible not for the discovery itself – but for the civil society and social structure that allowed the discovery to be made.
And maybe I should explain what I mean when I said “absolute truth”. I meant that an absolute truth is a belief that we think is right no matter what, and anyone who disagrees is wrong and false. These kind of beliefs, the ones that demonize those who don’t agree with them – are dangerous and cause much tension in the world.
Just because a group of fanatics do crazy things and then claim to be Muslim does not make their actions justified by Islam. In the U.S. we have a small group of extreme Christians who blow up abortion clinics and kill doctors who work there, claiming to be justified by Christianity. Obviously we all know instantly that they are not supported by Christianity, and we know that most Christians are not like them. Most Christians are against abortion, but they would never murder anyone. Just the same, most Muslims agree with some of the complaints that Bin Laden makes (he makes many legitimate complaints), but they do not support his method of murdering people to get revenge.
Americans are so quick to understand this because we are familiar with the teachings of Christianity and have many Christians here. But we are not (as a whole) familiar with Islam and we do not have a huge Muslim population, so when we hear reports of crazy “Muslims” blowing up trains, many of us foolishly begin to think that their religion permits them to do this, and that most Muslims are like them.
The more we learn about other people, the more we begin to see how they are similar to us.
I hope we can get along and this doesn’t degenerate into name-calling and hate speech.
very well peter… this time is my mistake… maybe i’ve carried away hahaha…
First: thanks Patung for alway revising the lay out of my comments.
Peter:

That is just what I meant. My comment was actually directed to M. Tono’s words from Dec., 4th.
I agree with you, that Islam is not as bad as it seems to be. No religion is as bad as it seems to be.
My favorite saying is: With a knife you can dress a delicious food or slaughter someone.
The situation in the USA like you’ve described is similar with those in Europe (where I live). People read about the slaughter of the girls in Sulawesi or about the Bali bombing (not to mention about those killing beetwen Moslems in Irak f.e. or about the genital mutilation) and there is understandably already a negative opinion about this religion widespread.
And there you will find people who don’t want to know more about this religion and prefer to wallow in their understanding, antipathy, hate and other things like that. It is really sad.
It is a pitty, that some Moslems besmirch the reputation of their religion, but for me it is not the religion that guide them to such zealotism, but the/their interpretations of the patient and unresisting written words.
I agree.
Haha we should end this thread now before we start arguing again!
peter, thank you for your xplanation of the algebrea i will check it up, however, please note Islam is not a person it an ideology, its ok to hate an ideology, and that i have stated so many times. i fear that its you have closed your mind.
yes i do hate Islam but not a Muslim person, and Islam is everything i accused it of and more.
we all alike and we basically want the same things but an ideology can change that basic crave. for instance the hitler and his party are people like us and the ideology changed all that.
Islam is a akin to Nazis
osama bin ladin is inspired by mohammed deeds and words.
Islam seeks to dominate the world, killing infidel is one way of getting there and mohammed did that.
please let be truthful if we must change things, if you don’t agree with just take to consider my positions.
i have no need to hate anyone, i am Christ-believing Christian and his words are really to me.
but Islam is satanic and that is the truth,i have no problem with the Muslim as i have them in my family.
Ismail, all I will say in response to that is: read your Bible and FOLLOW IT. Christ allows no room for hatred of any kind.
Since you portray yourself to be so knowledgeable about Islam, you should know that Muhammad followed a strict code of honor on the battlefield at all times. Even his own men would sometimes get angry at Muhammad for following the rules of war, because the Muslims’ enemies did not follow any such rules. Muhammad’s conduct on the battlefield was well known and praised by both his allies and enemies. Muhammad’s rules for war clearly forbid the actions that people like Osama bin Laden have taken.
Your hatred seems to come from a lack of self-control. You are simply reacting emotionally to what disagree with, without standing back and analyzing things in a detached way. This way of reacting to things will not allow you learn from your mistakes and will turn your mind toward hatred instead of love. Every feeling of hatred and resentment we have is like taking twenty steps away from God.
Peace
Ismail.
At the end you know its only us who deal with our God, regardless how hard you sounded the truth to others, as already mentioned in our Bible that Ismael’s decendants are as stubborn as donkey, so let them deal with their own god.
Suggest we live peacefully and learn to love each other, as we are all sinners, are’nt we?
Ismail,
You say you hate islam but not Muslims.
That to me clearly states you hate islam, islam is in every Muslim its there way of life. Your threads show you have hatred against Islam and Muslims and how you describing the holy Quran is unacceptable and totally rude.
“Islam is what Islam does people.” You said, that makes no sense you trying to say there is no Islam haha think what you like.
“Islam is a akin to Nazis
osama bin ladin is inspired by mohammed deeds and words.”
i suggest you speak no further and keep your haram mouth closed. you just said it how dare you try to compare Islam to nazis. And disrespect our Prophet Muhammad S.A.W and criticising Islam. If you ever said that to anyone face to face especially a Muslim you will be dead i hope too inshAllah. You was a Muslim i don’t believe that as you never believed in it truthly or you would have never converted to Christianty. i’ve never heard of a Muslim convert into a different religion. Well your beliefs are messed up then. After the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w pictures where shown from Danish people the one who started it died burned alive. So many Christians looked into Islam after this as they never knew who he was and soo many converted. What you are saying is a load of lies!!!
All i can say is YOU WILL FIND OUT ONE DAY INSHALLAH
See you in afterlife or do you believe in that.
i 100% agree with Habib statement
“Bush has committed crimes against humanity” Bush has started all this terror in the world, he went into countries with his people and tanks thinking he will come out as the Hero (i don’t think so). How many innocent people he has killed blood is in his own hands. Bush has targeted Muslim countries so far what does this say, he hates Muslims. (i hate him too and so do all Muslims) He goes around saying that these countries have nuclear weapons HE HAS FOUND NOTHING AFTER ALL THIS WHERES THE EVIDENCE AS THERE IS NONE. i can bet he has lots of nuclear weapons himself. He thinks his country usa can go in any country and start bombing. this is not the last of what he has planned soon he will go into more Muslim countries and kill. He deserves to die for what he has done how many lives he has helped kill nobody knows the exact number but its more than one persons life. i will be glad when he will not come into power that will make all of us happy. When Jihad comes all MUSLIMS WILL STAND UP
Tahirah, you see when you have islam and your so called “holy prophet” on your mind. Your reasoning is akin to 9/11 and 7/7 bombers and frankly there is next to no-need to engage you in any converstation.
For your information Jihad in all its definitions is evil and satanic and the same goes for the ideology at it roots.
Islam is what islam does.

Islam is what islam does.
Ismail with his knowledge and pieces of wisdom. Ismail is what Ismail do and says. My opinion:
There are zealots at both sides. And they will ruin us and our world.
Tomaculum, you are sure right Ismail is what…………, as long as your zealotry do not demand the death of a kafir and you don’t believe killing can be a spiritual and rewarding, then your zealotry is just fine by me. To disagree it what makes us unique and it keeps society vibrant, but we must remain equal irrespective of our believe. Unfortunately mohammed thought differently, that is why Muslim society remain in that same state.
This is the bibles definition of zealotry.
To love the lord your God with all your heart and might.
To love my neigbour be it enemy and friend.
Tell the truth at all time in love. For instant, I do not believe that homosexuality is acceptable to God, but I will hate the life style as I do but will continue to love my homosexual friends, that can’t change and when the question comes I will tell them my position without shifting.
To remain and live in holiness. Even when sin abounds everywhere.
To remain a man of one wife and love her like Christ love the church.divorce is unacceptable.
To share my faith to everyone.
Not to silent about evil, sadly islam is one of them. Perhaps the most powerful.
To love my country and pray for it leaders, even when it hurt.
To be the light of the world and salt to the earth.
Pray for healing.
Well all this and more makes me a zealot. And sorry can’t change it for the world, you can poke holes in them and whatever, you will do well to compare them to islamic zealot. I know the difference I have been there.
Sigh, Ismail.
To love the lord your God with all your heart and might.

And you are all of these? Respect, respect, Ismail. 🙂 Read again your words in your comments, then you – I hope – will understand what I mean with zealotism.
Tomaculum, to live is Christ, in Christ I have all that patterns to life and godliness, I have been translated from the darkness to the kingdom of his Son, behold old things have passed away and all things a made new. God promised a new life and a new hope, that is what being a Christian is all about, a brand new beginning. Sort of like being born again.
Your words in Gods ears, Ismail, amen. 🙂
Heheheh, well yes that is what the bible says our relationship with God should be, it’s a father-son and not slave-master. Hope you don’t find that offending.
I really miss this. This Habib Rizieg character failed to see something right in front of his eyes. When Bush visited Indonesia, it is a direct challenge and a slap in his face. Then what happened? Nothing. Loudspeaker BIG MOUTH.
Being a religious leader, he is pretending to be the nuthead O SAME BEEN LAIDEN who hides himself in the dug out mountains of Afghanistan and live like a king while he pass messages to his puppet while trailers like Rizieg took the trail as though O SAME is a prophet.
I bet he doesn’t understand between HALAL and HARAM.
If you notice the movements of FPI’s, they are really like a f8@king kafir.
