Paypal

Paypal now accepts accounts from Indonesia and payments with Indonesian credit cards.

One of the banes of my webmastering life has always been that Paypal, the most well known payment processing service on the internet, would not accept Indonesian credit cards. Until now.

No doubt Paypal’s long-time refusal to provide services for people with credit cards issued by Indonesian banks was due to the massive number of fraud attempts, “carding”, and such like, that emanated from Indonesia but now at any rate they seem to have overcome their reluctance and will happily handle your money. Sign up is for anyone who needs to send money/pay for things online, or receive money/sell things online.

January 29th 2008. Paypal now allows Indonesian members to withdraw money from their Paypal account into their Indonesian bank account, up to rupiah 1.5 million and it’s free.

That’s good news actually. If this came up a few years back it would have been so useful for me. But maybe it will in the future, nonetheless it’s good news.

Sending money with western union is really a pain.

You cannot receive money yet. Only send.

I have read only 68% of Indonesian credit cards where accepted (so far). Not that bad.

Actually, we can withdraw money to Indonesia using Paypal.
    There are ways… 😉

Regarding the credit cards, we must verify with our bank
first whether it is accepted online or not.
