Horror Queen Suzanna

Legendary and irreplaceable Queen of horror films, actress Suzanna, saddens the nation with her passing.
Suzanna, aka Suzzanna/Susanna Martha Frederika van Osch (she was of mixed German/Dutch/Javanese/Manado blood), born in Bogor in 1942, known as the Queen of Horror (Ratu Horor) died of diabetes related complications on 16th October 2008 at her home in Magelang.
Suzanna began acting in the 1950’s in straight roles, but is eternally remembered for her horror and mystical films, beginning in the 1970’s, like “Bernapas Dalam Lumpur” (1970), “Beranak Dalam Kubur” (1971), “Pulau Cinta” (1978), “Ratu Buaya Putih” and “Ratu Ilmu Hitam” (1981).
She retired in the early 1990’s but made a couple of comebacks, in 2003 on the television serial “Selma dan Ular Siluman”, and most recently this year in the film “Hantu Ambulance”, in which she was visibly ailing.

She is survived by husband Clift Andre Natalia aka Clift Sangra and stepson Rama Yohanes, and daughter Kiki Maria, from her previous marriage to Dicky Suprapto.

RIP Suzanna.
I remember watching her movies as a little girl and having nightmares days on end afterwards.
But she was the Indonesian Queen of Horror Movies and she will live on forever in her films.
God bless her soul.

I find it disrespectful that you, as a fellow actor, do not have words of appreciation and remembrance on her passing away.

I am not in mourning as I know of course shes not really dead…my mother in law told me she has faked her death, so she can practise klinik in her secret lair, away from public scrutiny. I have good reason to believe her, as she told her the secret flower recipe for the elixir of life some time back.

hmmm, intriguing story but i think i’ll go with common believe that she had already passed away over diabetes that she had suffered for about 30 years..
I mean, from the infotainment news *duh’ really important sources* she had been sick over the past years and she had like very serious drama in her life, probs with her eldest daughter, the dispute over her wealth.. family stuffs like that could really be tiring and excruciating y’know….
so, may GOD bless her soul and TV stations keep playing her movies so that her name would be more legendary as ever and her family would get royalty *if there’s such* to wipe the sorrow over their faces with profits from her hard-earned works…
Ow, one more thing… hopefully she would not be a super-scary lady ghost as she used to portray, otherwise that would be a nightmare comes true….iiihhhhhh

However, there is a long line of starlets wanting to assume the mantle as Indonesia’s next queen of horror.

Yes…, DDOS – Distributed Denial of Service (attack), people trying to bring the website down…didn’t know Suzanna had a grudge against Kaskus though….

I still cant believe that she is dead. She was a great actresss. I remember watching some of her movies at least twice a day. LOL! She is that good! And not to mention very very very beautiful!
It is a great loss but she will always be remembered.
