Is Cleo Porn?

Apr 12th, 2006, in News, by

Police in Semarang, central Java, went looking for Playboy yesterday. They couldn’t find it and had to make do with a copy of Cleo and the question arose among them – Is Cleo porn?

Semarang’s finest entered a Gramedia bookstore in search of Playboy but, failing to find it, their beady eyes were caught by the cover of Cleo. They had to fork over Rp. 80,000, or about $9.00 for the right to break the seal on the imported magazine, Detik reports.

Upon espying the contents they noticed several photos of scantily clad men and women, in their underwear, and topless. This was too much for the men in blue and they were forced to seize the magazine and take it back to the police station for further perusal or investigation.

We will study it first to see whether it is pornographic or not. The problem is we don’t know if the pictures are advertisements, health information, or something else. We want to make sure of the source of them.
(Kita akan pelajari dulu, apakah ini terkait pornografi atau tidak. Soalnya kami tidak tahu apakah gambar itu berupa iklan, info kesehatan, atau yang lain. Kita juga ingin pastikan sumbernya.)

said Wisnu Adi Pamungkas of the police.

Before leaving, with their seizure, the police attempted to question the store managers but they had unaccountably stepped out.

I Think Porn is best in America only

Fitness magazine is definitely porn then, as it features women in bikinis as their front covers – all the time.

That new Citra body lotion ad is also porn – because it shows a man zipping up a woman’s dress whilst showing her bare back for the whole nation to see.

Mulan Jameela is also porn – because the way she moans and groans like a demented cat sounds like she’s having a helluva time doing something.

La Senza billboard on Mall Kelapa Gading is DEFINITELY porn, as it features women wearing lacey underwear and very ample breasts at that.

    Jeez.

Don’t they have a subscription then? Did they get bored of arresting criminals and now start wasting their time in reading women’s magazines?

Let me guess, the “force” mentioned here, isn’t that the force that makes the blood flow into their genitals and causes a big boner?

Therry, not exactly sure what you mean, but I don’t think you need permission for it!

Cleo is not considered porn in any Western country. However, Cleo is imported subversive filth which should be banned because of the hedonistic decadence of the West.

Specifically, it contains heretical ideas such as the right of women to have lovers/boyfriends without being married, the right of women to earn their own money and travel the world alone without male relatives chaperoning them and worst of all the right of women to have orgasms! The sealed sections usually have nudity and sexual suggestion. It advocates adultery and values quite incompatible with Islam. Such as modernity, empirical science and women’s rights among other things…

It seems to be that the clash of civilizations is about two things – territory (i.e. resources such as the oil in Iraq) and mates (i.e. women).
