About 300 university students from Lembaga Dakwah Kampus (LDK), or the Campus Preaching Council (LDK), marked the International Hijab Solidarity Day in Semarang, Central Java, on 4th September.
“International Hijab Solidarity Day” was declared at a conference of the Assembly for the Protection of Hijab held on July 12th, 2004, in London.
Already gotten the message.
The date of 4th September was chosen because, as protest leader Lulu Jamaliah says, that was the date in 2002 that France banned Muslim women from wearing the jilbab/hijab.
Lulu said that the rally had two specific purposes, to show that wearing the hijab was a human right and no state should prevent women from doing so, and secondly to encourage jilbab-less women to put on the head covering. For the second purpose the demonstrators gave away free hijabs to passing women, as well as flowers.
Lulu Jamaliah said she was also concerned that most Indonesian Muslim women didn’t seem to care about worldwide jilbab solidarity. antara

All the muslims in the world need to get over themselves and stop thinking everything is about them. This is what gets them in trouble in the first place. If Muslims around the world were peaceful and lived in harmony with the countries they “invade” with their beliefs and culture then noone would notice all the things about their religion. But instead they chose to migrate to different countries and cause trouble. They teach their children not to accept other cultures and to treat them like crap because they are inferior to them for not believing in Mohammed.
I am sick of the Muslims bludging off other people… The whole religion is a load of crap, they wont borrow money from banks because it is against their religion to pay interest but yet they will live in housing commission and be on the dole while their husbands work cash money.
It is the government who allows this to happen but it is the religion who teaches this behaviour. As far as I am concerned the world would be a much better place if the Muslims stuck to their own middle eastern countries and stopped terrorising other countries with their religion of hate and their narrow minded ideas.
