Holy Books Mix Up

May 7th, 2007, in News, by

Insertion of pages of the Bible into copies of the Quran.

In Jombang, East Java early last month two copies of the Quran were discovered at a Muslim school that had had pages of the Bible inserted into them.

Warsito Hadi of the Jombang department of religion says it must have been done deliberately.

It’s impossible it wasn’t deliberate.

The Jombang department of religion has reported the case to the police but the latter have not taken any action as yet.

Warsito Hadi urged Muslims to stay calm and not be influenced by events.

Syamsul Huda of the Jombang Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) complained that the holy books mix-up was an insult to Islam.

We urge the police to take action and deal firmly with those responsible.

N. Hidayat of the Dewan Dakwah Islamiyah Indonesia said in Jakarta that the matter was an example of Christianisation. eramuslim

Recently dozens of members of the Barisan Serba Guna Anshor (Banser), the para-military wing of the Nahdlatul Ulama’s youth group, demonstrated over the issue. antara

Why always so easily insulted? So insecure. Show a bit of faith; if you really believe Allah is in control of this vast universe, stop being so paranoid. Santai saja.

    N. Hidayat of the Dewan Dakwah Islamiyah Indonesia said in Jakarta that the matter was an example of Christianisation. [1]

What, you mean the Quran is slowly turning into the Bible? 😉

Most likely, but it couldn’t have been done by Christians.

Syamsul Huda of the Jombang Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) complained that the holy books mix-up was an insult to Islam.

It is an insult to Christianity, too.

    N. Hidayat of the Dewan Dakwah Islamiyah Indonesia said in Jakarta that the matter was an example of Christianisation.

    BULLSH*T.

  3. Janma says:

I wonder what verses they inserted? Some bible verses might fit right in the quran. Like the following one.

And St. Attila raised his hand grenade up on high saying “O Lord bless this thy hand grenade that with it thou mayest blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy.” And the Lord spake, saying, “First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin, then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shalt be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thou foe, who being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.

    Janma.

Sounds like more of an insult to the Bible than to the Quran.

  5. Mohammed Khafi says:

What is it with these people, anything to stir up controversy and antagonism?

Why not, ” Oh look, the printers have made a mistake, lets tell them and send it back”?

Insult to Islam? Well, Warsito Hadi of the Jombang department of religion, Syamsul Huda of the Jombang Majelis Ulama Indonesia, N. Hidayat of the Dewan Dakwah Islamiyah Indonesia, and Barisan Serba Guna Anshor, all are.

    Peace

    Hi Janma,

That was a good one, especially after a long Monday like today.

    Cheers.

How does he know? Was he involved then? Maybe it was done by provocateurs to stir-up antagonism.

Warsito Hadi urged Muslims to stay calm and not be influenced by events.

Events? An earthquake or tsunami, that is an event. I am afraid this occurence will be blown out of proportions just to fuel Muslim paranoia.

Wahabbism spreading (too) in UK: Dispatches – Undercover Mosque.

How is it in Indonesia? Better or worse?

    🙁

Some of my moslem friends simply decided to leave mosque because of this. It’s very hard to find mosque that hasn’t been infected by wahabbist preachers.

  9. Julita says:

How low can one go, trying hard to instigate that’s what it is! I hope they do not succeed. Very easy to solve, yes easy without much ado recall all the Holy Bibles, sorry, sorry, I mean the Holy Qur’an.

Please, don’t be harsh with the printers, perhaps they did not know or could not read what it was. Though they definitely know who gave it to them.

    N. Hidayat of the Dewan Dakwah Islamiyah Indonesia said in Jakarta that the matter was an example of Christianisation.

Really, this is the most comical claim of all. If the Christians were to Christianize moslems, would they have done it in such a crude and obvious way?

Obviously N. Hidayat doesn’t use his brain when talking…if at all he has one in his head.

  11. Ihaknt says:

Gini aja kok diributin. HUMANS make mistake. Forgive and forget. What’s with the anger within, fellow Muslims? It’s not a big deal. So suspicious of others trying to ‘Christianise’ Muslims. It just shows how weak their faith is. CHILL DUUUUDDE!!

  12. Piddy says:

Mistakes happen. Just get replacement korans and laugh it off.

Maybe this is how the “Islam Sejati” sect started off? They didn’t catch the mistake.
