Say no to sin

The personal life of Indonesia’s most popular female pop singer of all time Krisdayanti has aroused the ire of hundreds of thousands of Facebookers, with the “Say No to Krisdayanti” page having garnered over 300,000 Likes in short time, including from one of her own children, daughter Titania Aurelia Hermansyah.

The page’s manifesto reads:

This page was made for those who are sick and tired of Krisdayanti and her repeatedly committing adultery, taking other women’s husbands, being hypocritical and amoral, not caring about the feelings of others, and having no shame…

Krisdayanti recently left long time musician husband Anang Hermansyah, and their children, and later admitted to having an affair with married man Raul Lemos, an East Timorese businessman. The diva claimed she did not know Raul was married, to Shechah Salem Sagran alias Ata.

Typical Indonesian, obsessed with other peoples morals and behaviour.

  2. Aprianti says:

They all should thank KD for fulfilling another duty that society has imposed on celebrities: to make people feel good by saying “See? Even if we’re poorer but we’re morally better than them”.

  3. Hans says:

remind me of former East Germany where you knew everything about every citizen

  4. camion says:

Aaaaaahhhhhhh ! ! ! ! !…..The bigots & hypocrites are alive & well here. Its none of your business how anyone conducts their life within the constraints of government laws.If it wasnt for the Media selling their products utilising the woman’s celebrity & behaviour you would not hear a whisper. If it is of such concern to the self righteous boring individuals then organise the same media to expose the private lives or Rich & Powerful Politicians,Generals,Business Men & other identities of some note & you will discover much more worthy of your bile to be spewed upon.THUS you will be able to identify your own charachter for what it really is……. :-))
Get a Life & enjoy it,get out of your little boxes.

  5. dave says:

Camion, let’s see if you still have the same opinion when your wife constantly cheating on you lol..or if you raise other men’s children.

Marriage is the creation of smart men to keep themselves from being cuckolded. If it doesn’t work, well….

  6. brb says:

obviously it’s their own problem … which is too bad really, i kinda like kd and anang as they were, loong time ago, very romantic :p … anyway, meanwhile i am joining the boycott brigade until i can ‘forgive and forget’ her adulterous behaviour; i mean, as a fan, i can have certain expectations of what she should be … can’t i? 🙂 being a public figure has its consequences, i suppose

  7. tania says:

As an Indonesian, I am terribly ashamed at the juvenile reaction of the mentioned facebook group. ironically some of the comments and accusations posted were much lower in the morality scale compared to the act they were condemning.

  8. madrotter says:

ehrrr…. funny how other peoples sex lives and private affairs keep so many people so busy here, if only they would spend the same amount of energy on corruptors, fanatics and lying politicians euy

  9. Agan says:

^ Precisely euy; because sensationalized, scandalous and played up celebrities news can be a welcome distraction and thus served as smoke screens to the real pressing national problems like you correctly pointed out.
But are most Indos inherently obsessed with, more curious or find delight in prying in other people’s private lives as compared to say their bules counterpart?

  10. madrotter says:

well, in a way, sure, just look at all the gossip magazines allover the globe, difference is, here in indonesia you’ve got a popular celebrity in jail for filming his private stuff, in western countries all that might happen is the end of your career (pee wee herman) or in lots of cases it might further your career (pamela anderson, paris hilton) it can even give you the chance of doing a great performace (was it billy graham? i forget, the americaN TV evangelist who was caught with a hooker and then shed boku tears on national tv, quiet a spectacle)…

  11. Chris says:

I am sure it will be as effective as all the banners/posters with “Say No To Drugs” (i.e. not).

Madrotter, I remember who you’re talking about: the guy who cried and said “I have sinned, Lord”. Alas, I don’t remember his name, but I know it wasn’t Billy Graham. There were a few; Jim Bakker (husband of Tammy) was one who did jail time.

  12. madrotter says:

well they make for great television those repenting silly old twats!

“say no to drugs posters” hehehe, reminds me of the old polo discotheque in bandung back in ’96, place was owned by the suharto’s, go up with an elevator then you would come into the foyer where there were say no to drugs t-shirts, posters, stickers etc for sell, then go into the discotheque itself and shit was wild, the whole crowd off their heads on xtc, every now and then a suharto grandchild would be there throwing handfuls of pills into the crowd and a feeding frenzy would start, damn bandung used to be nice!

and it was jimmy swaggart crying by the way, here you can enjoy his crocodile tears:

he somehow reminds me of shatner doing drama…

  13. pjbali says:

Dude don’t pick on Captain Kirk. Thats just mean.

  14. selebritis says:

krisdayanti oh no, i hate krisdayanti

  15. madrotter says:

man i would never pick on the great william tiberius shatner!!!

  16. Odinius says:

    Hans said:

remind me of former East Germany

It should remind you of the United States…there’s a new one of these every week.

    E.g. http://www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf/story/christians-protest-manson-at-california-gig_1114219

Peacefully protesting or calling for an economic boycott of something you don’t like might be silly, at times, but it’s also a sign of political stability.

  17. Rubiyanto says:

    satu kata: BOIKOT ….!

  18. Hans says:

Odinius I am totally uninterested in what happens in the U.S.. Besides that they help stop the pure murderous evil, there has never been a force to compare with Communism. The Nazis did not come close. the Communist death toll exceeds 100 million

  19. Lairedion says:

When will people stop to compare Nazi and Communist death tolls? The Nazis were in power between 1933-1945 in a single nation while there were Communist regimes at various nations around the globe throughout the 20th century and still are up until this very day.

Even a child will understand the Communist death toll exceeds the Nazis.

By the way, KD reminds me of Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct. Is she wearing underwear or not in that picture?

  20. madrotter says:

kd always reminds me of michael jackson

  21. Hans says:

Yes Lairedion Nazi kill 11 miljon in 12 year but communist kill 15 miljon evry 10 year

  22. principessaluna says:

It’s her life. Let her do as she pleases. And to those who wants to boycott her and whatnot, take a long look at yourself and ask if you’ve never committed anything wrong in your life before. Furthermore, her success is probably more than what you can accomplish.

“And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto Him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, They say unto Him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the Law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest Thou?”

“This they said, tempting Him, that they might have to accuse Him.”

“But Jesus stooped down, and with His finger wrote on the ground, as though He heard them not. So when they continued asking Him, He lifted up Himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again He stooped down, and wrote on the ground.”

“And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.”

“When Jesus had lifted up Himself, and saw none but the woman, He said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? Hath no man condemned thee?”

    “She said, No man, Lord.”

“And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.” (John 8:2-11 KJV)

  23. Odinius says:

    Hans, with the baffling statement:

Odinius I am totally uninterested in what happens in the U.S.. Besides that they help stop the pure murderous evil, there has never been a force to compare with Communism. The Nazis did not come close. the Communist death toll exceeds 100 million

So a moralizing facebook group dedicated to boycotting a singer is the equivalent to a “communist death toll” exceeding “100 million?” Dear me, I thought it was more like the activities of other moralizing groups of people dedicated to boycotting singers!

My apologies, Hans: your logic is impeccable.

  24. Hans says:

Iagree litle whit u odinus! but do do not cheat yourself if you think that communism in its
naked form does not look as “Comrade Duch”. Disasters and death is no
restricted event in a specific time, but symptoms of an underlying
consider schedule. and what we are looking at here about the artist’s? is a typical trends in the same underlying thinking patterns

  25. Lairedion says:

    Hans,

My point was that suddenly this Nazi-Commie comparison pops out of the sky again on a thread dealing with the moral behaviour of a fallen Indo celeb and a silly FB group dedicated to it.

You’re better off on RRA if this Commie issue haunts your mind.

  26. camion says:

Whats Communists,Nazis ,Captain Kirk & fairytale Christian scripture got to do with anyones moral behaviour :-)))) LOL.Interesting how thoughtless human beings vent their ignorant rage at every possible tangent of protest not relevent to the original topic ALL STIRRED UP BY THE VARIOUS FORMS OF THE MEDIA TO SELL MORE SLUSH TO THE GOOSES who need to vent their protest on a subject many know little about due to the phoney restrictions they place on themselves by belonging to all the fruitcake religious & political groups. Come in Sucker.(as they say). This female celebrities behaviour is no different to much more that is going on behind closed doors that the media does not get the opportunity to turn into a “PEEEEEEEEP SHOW” for all the EXTREMISTS who dont have a life or a reason to exist. Beware :-))) as history shows,it is the protesting extremists who are the first to pick up the sword if your opinion is different to theirs.Get a life…Drop your Pants 🙂

  27. Hans says:

Points is! It really is dangerous to be complacent and say the danger is over and with the underlying message, it is about changing negative underlying patterns of thoughts and reactions to Krisdayanti. The reactions to the protests against the artist has the same underlying pattern, that when thoughts and feelings rushing in the way and become dangerous for everyone and everything that ends up in the gun barrel. this time it was an artist the next time stands POLICE paralyzed? When any building is fired.
to dare to come into contact with the dangerous underlying emotions, This provides long-term dangerous signals similar to those that Communism has! we need to change these negative underlying patterns of thoughts and reactions.

  28. madrotter says:

i think some people should boldly go and mind their own damn business, if there’s one thing that makes me sick to the stomach it’s these twats shouting about this or that artist destroyed the morality of the youth with their behavior, it’s not only irritating, it’s highly illogical in the face of all the crap that’s going on in this country (and elsewhere)….

beam me the f*ck up scotty!

  29. camion says:

HANS…..as per your response, please indicate to the readers what you think are the underlying factors to vent so much vile on one celebrity for behaviour of no importance to anyone in reality. I will then respond with my thoughts in addition. Thankyou in anticipation… 🙂

  30. Hans says:

As you probably already know my English is too poor to take a big debate.
For my part, it is about changing the underlying negative patterns of thoughts and reactions. encourage and provide support for changing behavior, aimed at providing insight into their own unconscious beliefs. where Psychodynamic impact is about what’s happening in our lives right now and to which social benefits that are both in motivation and time.

good luck with understanding my thoughts
