Professor Bernard Lewis, a highly respected scholar of Islam and the Middle Eastern world, said in Jerusalem on the 28th that Muslims:
seem to be about to take over Europe.
and warned that one result of this would be a deteriorating situation for Europe’s Jews.
The interesting question was what form of Islam would prevail in Europe. He asked:
Will it be an Islamized Europe or Europeanized Islam?
The Muslim “takeover” of Europe was happening because the native Europeans were lost:
Europeans are losing their own loyalties and their own self-confidence. They have no respect for their own culture.

It is true, I see nowadays in Europe only women in Jilbab. Queen Elizabeth wears jilbab, Queen Margrethe 2nd, Cancelor Merkel from Germany, Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands etc. are now fans of Burka.
This would be a great idea though, then would we wouldn’t have to look at their sour faces again. I would suggest a nice tulip print for Queen Beatrix.
Seriously, this alledged take-over still has to happen. The article doesn’t clarify what kind of take-over, is the take-over political or religious? The author doesn’t say.
Is it a political take-over? Not really, because are in most European countries Muslims are hardly political involved.
Religious take-over maybe? What is there to take-over then? Very few Christians are converting to Islam. It happens on rare occasions.The title suggests that the article is about Muslims in Europe, well instead of that we are dished-up a story about Iran. So next time a better article and no more misleading titles Mr. Lewis!

Coincidently I happened to see Bernard Lewis on Dutch television yesterday, he was (amongst other people) interviewed about Muslim pirates who went to Iceland and Ireland. He has written a couple of books about the influence of Islam, he is considered a expert in this field. Neither can I confirm, neither can I deny this, simply because I haven’t read his books. He clearly missed the boat with this article.

I have the impression, that Lewis and such people are studying about Islam (or maybe other faiths) just to have “scientifically founded” arguments against Islam. It is not very difficult to study facts about Islam, but to understand it….?
For me an expert is someone who knows the facts and understands the meaning.
And Lewis definitely doesn’t understand anything about Islam and less about Europe.

I think you may recommend Lewis to join with Ali Sina founder of Faith Freedom and let them form a new religion “Islam is rapist and murderer” and let them show to the world how their new religion compete with Islam but I will not guarantee if one day their head is suddenly gone.

We all need to be calm in facing this alarmist bell. It is true that the European countries shoot themselves in both of their foot when they declared that liberte, egalite, et fraternite also applies to the immigrant coming from their ex-colonies on the ground of ethics and human right. I guess it is still Ok if they grant those to the Turks, the Maroccans, or to the Tunis or to many more nationals who do not subscribed to the Wahabbi doctrin.
However, if Wahabbians get the liberte, egalite, et fraternite residence visa, they will gleefully smile to the gullability and naivete of the KAFIRS. Because not only will they use the hospitality of the host country to themselves and themselves only, they will NEVER integrate or appreciate the host culture, but they will use the very and every rights they get (that they cannot even dream in their native countries such as telephone line, sewage system, health care, social allowances, “kinder geld”, “arbeitlost geld”, unemployment dole, and the like) to gain more for themselves. This us against them (Muslims vs. KAFIRS)mentality is in their very blood and they were told to memorize it five times a day. How could they forget.
My forefathers came to Indonesia; however, although they were Arabs, they honored the local culture and adopt this country and fought together with many other Indonesians for independence. He has many friends from all SUKUs, and he speaks English, Dutch, and of course Bahasa Indonesia. That is the difference between us and the Wahabbis, who tried to hijack the Indonesian nationhood which was fought dearly and costly with this ancient laws from the desert made by an illiterate man in the 6th century!
Come on guys, wake up, and grow-up!

Isn’t it true that the European muslim are having more kids in comparison to the so called “native european”? This in turn will create a population shift, and in no doubt cultural shift. and with the beauty of democracy, this will in effect created a political shift, to a more “Muslim friendly” policies.

Lewis is maybe a “highly respected” scholar of Islam and the Middle eastern world, but he is surely not an adept of the European situation.
He is a Jew, so actually his statement doesn’t need any comment.
But maybe he should consult his psychiatrist more to talk about his paranoia?
