Zainuddin Ali, the head of the Central Sulawesi branch of the Clerics’ Council, (Majelis Ulama Indonesia, MUI), said on the 31st in Palu during a meeting with police that the concept of jihad as found in the Koran was no longer entirely relevant today.
In the time of Muhammad there were many infidels who waged war against Islam. But today it’s difficult, there are many people who follow different religions but they are not enemies to each other.

Speaking in apparent reference to the confession of one Abdul Muis that he had murdered Reverend Irianto Kongkoli in October 2006 as a form of jihad, or struggle, for Islam, Zainuddin said:
Killing people without the right to do so is not allowed in Islam, only God has the power to take the life of a person.
(Membunuh orang tanpa hak tidak dibenarkan dalam ajaran Islam. Hanya Allah SWT yang kuasa mencabut nyawa manusia.)
Zainuddin, who teaches Islamic law at the Tadulako University in Palu, went on to say that many people today misunderstood the concept of jihad and took verses from the Koran out of context in order to justify their actions. Such people damaged the image of Islam and committed great sin, and their final place was in hell. antara

A Muslim cleric from Poso, Ustad Abdurahman, told a hearing at the House of Representatives in Jakarta that the government should take the lead in clearing up the meaning of jihad, which he said has been misunderstood by most people, including religious leaders. tempo
They think that what they do is jihad, killing policemen is halal (allowed) and their stealing is fai (legitimate spoils of war).
Ustad Abdurahman asked the police to find out which religious schools were teaching such an ideology.
If they’re found, I ask that such schools to be shut down.

I definitely know what will happen, even if one believe in piece and love, which their Faith strongly teaches (don’t trample them though).
It is no secret where those jihad people come from, which part of the society, and whose religious name they use. Please, please I beg, the GOOD ones should act and speak out within themselves. SUPPORT ZAINUDDIN ALI. He is teaching the good part from the Koran. No, don’t let others do that than it will become a fight. As about living in harmony I am 100% sure the other side are waiting with open arms.

All normal people always love peace and harmony but when your mother, brother, and sister were murdered without apparent reason, will you do nothing and kissing all those killers. Bin camel said “talk is cheap” and nothing wrong with Zainudin Jihad Teaching but when your beloved families got killed while 15 gentlemen who incited killling are still free, I should say nice dreams for the peace lover.

The Christian teaching is also to forgive, and I am sure they will follow their teaching and especially when the killers repent, with promise not to repeat. Remember the Holy Father Pope John Paul II went to meet Ali Aga in his jail to frogive him, this is our example.
Though somebody who carry hatred, as you said Cuk, will continue down from generation to generation. An entirely different education for their young ones.

Recently there was a talk in regard to Islam here in the university and we are in the process of electing a new cleric. He is Moslem, an expert, a professor, he was saying that many are reciting the Koran but they do not really know the exact meaning. Did you say that once also M. Khafi?
If the person does not know the correct meaning the consequence is quite serious. Correct me if I am wrong.
Islam both allows and forbids murder and violence, depending on who is the recipient of the act for example: (Koran 5:51) Koran 4:5). (Koran 2:191) (Koran 47:4) etc. etc.
Though look at the following:
“Fight for the sake of Allah those that fight against you, but do not attack them first. Allah does not love the aggressors.” (Koran 2:190)
The Prophet Mohamad said to his army before going to a fight “Depart in the name of Allah, and by his help. And kill not any old man nor young boy nor child, nor woman, But be good doers for Allah loves those who do good”. (Hadeeth)Those jihad people and suicide bombers have to be educated, just this morning I heard three happenings in the Middle East. Sad indeed. That us why I applaud Zainuddin Ali.

However, if you compared Pope’s were only got shoot with someone has lost their family. I don’t think that’s apple to apple comparison.
Pope’s was chosen among the best of the best whereas my brothers are only ordinary men and their blood will keep in boiling when justice is not delivered.I also agreed that the suicide bomber jihadist need to be educated but what is your recommendations to the master killers who continue killing Moslem around the world’s.
Murder and killing are not only happened in the Moslem world’s but anywhere in the world’s. You can easily find news about killing in Ultah, gangs war in mexico and sao paolo And I think our Cities crimes and murder rates is still well below than in Brasilian, Columbian cities and even US Cities.
I think the only best way to reduce all those kind violent we may start to control our own community that’s anyone incite the hatred among us are not get sheltered and protected.
