Need Help Determining Indonesian Address

I was in West Java last spring in the little surf town of Cimaja. I met a local there who helped me out quite a bit and I wanted to send him some pictures. I have his card, but I'm not sure the address is complete.

The address is:

Ci Maja, Marinjung Hiliar No 28 Karang Papak, Cisolok Sukabumi.

The last two words are towns nearby so I'm not sure they should be included, but maybe its a reference to the area. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Cheers,

Chris

Hi Chris,

First of all, Cimaja is a great place for surf, good choice.

I visited the place also a couple of times. I believe it's Marinjung Hilir in stead of Hiliar. Usually Marinjung Hilir would be followed by RT../RW… won't bother you with the meaning of this unless you're dying to know. In your case I would use no. 28 in stead.

Your best chance will be:

Kp. Marinjung Hilir No. 28, Kel. Cimaja, Desa Karang Papak, Kec. Cisolok, Kab. Sukabumi, Jawa Barat – Indonesia

Pretty lenghty address but why taking any chances. Kp = kampung (quarter), Desa (village), Kec = kecamatan (subdistrict), Kab = Kabupaten (regency) and Jawa Barat is the province of West Java.

Do you also have a name? Because it's a small community most likely any person living in that kampung will know the guy.

Good luck.

@Lairedion,

Good call kang. Your years of guiding tourist in West Java has paid off. Clap

BTW, are you going to open a surf and diving shop in Bunaken island when you retire and get away from the IT world?

Pakmantri, temanku,

Surfing is almost impossible in Manado, hardly any waves and there are enough diving schools/shops.

Retire is retire (reureuh, ngaleueut, tuang, ngaewe (maap, teu terang anu lemesna), ngetepan, ningali awewe Sick).

Chris, kel. means kelurahan, more or less the same level with desa.

…………… ningali awewe.

Lamun ningali wae kaci, kang; otherwise daar zorgvuldig ben, zou u smack in het hoofd van de vrouw kunnen krijgen! Rolling

I've been to Sabang all the way to Merauke (Freeport), mostly in the jungle. I used to work for a helicopter company serving the exploration of natural resouces.

But sadly, I.ve never been to Pelabuhan Ratu nor Cimaja. What a shame, eh. I think I am jealous of you and Chris ….. Cry

Maybe after the Pemilu I'll go and visit.

Salam.

I like your Dutch… and I like being smacked by women.. pervert me..Yell

In tourism Pelabuhan Ratu is a must because of its beauty and because of Nyai Loro Kidul.

Cimaja is great. From the main road you have to walk through coastal sawa's to get to the surf. Here's a nice blog article on Cimaja.

OK, sobat, groeten terug….
