Some of my favorite people in the whole World are in Bukit Sentul (Sentul City, now), Bogor. I have seen students grow up from SD, grade 3 & 4 and now they are close to graduating from high school. But, I could not have my contract renewed in Jakarta because because I became 60 years young in July 2007. I would love to return but age seems to be a problem. I am healthy, active- both my brain and my body still work well- and I am still enthusiastic about helping children develop academically and socially.

Eventhough my Indonesian ex-wife did not stay loyal for long in America, I still contend that Indonesian women are the most beautiful and I am still attracted to them. Doesn't honesty and devotion mean anything any more?

Indonesian friends have told me I'm a 'different' bule because I treat them like equals. I totally disagree with schools there that have paid me 10x what local teachers with similar credentials make. Granted, I am a native English-speaking teacher; that means I'm different, not necessarily better.

So, what are the chances that I can return to the friends that I dearly miss and love…despite my age. And, what are the chances that I can find a woman that could love me for what I am rather than for what I have?

Any ideas and/or suggestions?Love

Well, on the romance front there's always matchmaking sites like indonesiancupid, and social sites like the one here – plenty of people don't like internet dating but at least it's sort of out in the open what people are interested in and in your case, being an older gentleman, well if they are interested in that then fine….

Living here – you're eligible for a retirement visa, based on your age, but of course you can't work then. Teaching jobs for 60 year olds, I doubt there'd be many but can't say for sure, best to just apply to places, even better if you've got some contacts.

And, what are the chances that I can find a woman that could love me for what I am rather than for what I have?

The same chance anywhere in the world I guess, in your own country how likely is it? On second thoughts it might in fact be a little more likely in Indonesia, but not that much.
