Well there was a lady in Ubud who sent me a link about a story in a Flemish newspaper that talked about how dirty the beaches were, the guy said he'd never go back, here's the machine translation, semoga bermanfaat…

The first day we arrived at the world famous island I bought in a surf shop in Kuta, opposite the monument to the victims of the bombings in 2002, a t-shirt with that slogan is headed. The words proved prophetic, for the past months we were back to Bali four times, because the island centrally located in Indonesia and from there you can visit many beautiful places.

Surfing and jogging
When we first arrived in Bali we chose not to spend the night in Kuta, but in a guesthouse on the beach between Legian and Seminyak, two villages in line with, and at the same kilometers Kuta beach and lie, which is full of nightclubs and where no time left alone. Only afterwards we found that the best part of the beach had chosen the best and nicest restaurants bars, where we finally five nights of the blessed sunset would enjoy. Most people find Kuta, with its beaches full of waste, fat and want to get away quickly, but we liked Legian, where we learned to surf, went jogging, buying cheap DVDs and ate delicious (try the Tostada in Seaside, if you ever come).
Sunbathing and snorkeling

We turned back to Legian for one night….. We have turned back for two nights after we were there and flown to the island of Flores, where we went to the Komodo dragons and enjoyed the beautiful interior, thanks to our fascinating guide Dino. And yesterday we went back to Bali again, after one weeks sunbathing and snorkeling and just enjoy doing nothing on the Gili Islands, the newest place to be backpackers, off the coast of Lombok.
Coming home
All those places were beautiful and pleasant parts of Kuta and Legian, but because we are after all the times we had favorites, and our favorite restaurants and Internet bars, it was always like coming home again. Our place to breathe, to Skype with home photos on Facebook to spin, a newspaper and find out what had happened in the world.
No More Back to Bali
But it's over. With this piece I somewhat miss that restaurant in Lanai, where they offer an excellent internet connection, while the sun drowning in the sea and Indonesian boys with shirts of Barcelona and AC Milan at the beach playing football. Later we take a taxi to the airport, where we will pass through the night. For six hours the morning we take a flight to Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia, on the island of Borneo. We will not return to Legian. No more back to Bali. All you me, once back in Belgium, proudly wearing that T-shirt look. Because I never, even though it will take years, will return. If only to see whether the Indonesians finally learned to clean up waste.
