Great (rather old though) news: MALAYSIA is in the list of "countries that practice / support slavery" — the list was issued by US. That's for the second time. Ha! 2007 & 2009. Way to go, Mal! Donkeys never learn, I guess.

Ha ha. That's great (hope search in google with keyword "Malaysia Tourism" "Visit Malaysia" would find this).

Wow, that's in the same league as countries (?) like: Chad, Nigeria, Mauritania, dan Zimbabwe (hmm… exotic, so "safari").

Kind of old news (June 2009). I found that from a the fresh news about slavery in mexico city (107 been enslaved in a place disguissed as "alcohol addiction treatment"); most are indigenous people.

This reminds people of what they uncovered in 1985, after the quake in mexico city, lots of the victims were found trapped in the buildings, couldn't get out because they were locked in sweatshops (at least that's what people suspect).

Reminds me of what I saw in CCTV 2 years ago, chinese police uncovered something similar in Shanghai (most of the victims were mentally disabled people).

How about in Jakarta?

Then you should've titled this post 'Visit Malaysia – Slavery Truly Un-Asia', or something like that, not feeling too inspired at the moment…. that might have done it with Google. Laugh

Not really sure, there was this story last year, about trafficking but 780, that's a lot of women and kids to traffic and article says labour groups were protesting about it so…
