Introduction
Name, Daryl, resident in Indo for past 6 years, now returning to Australia. Love Indonesia, but find the regular visa problems a hassle. Still, after a few months in Australia will probably be booking a flight back to catch up with friends, food etc.

Hi Daryl, yes the visa thing can be frustrating for a lot of expats but it has gotten better in recent years, particularly if you've got children, now they can have dual citizenship, and now an Indonesian woman can (totally legit) sponsor her foreign husband for an indefinite stay, but...it may not apply to you that stuff, what kind of visa hassle did you have?

Hm... not only for expats, but also for us... I was discussing to work in Spain as a back up team for an international clothing brand, and then found out that the visa thing will make it difficult to travel around the world coz as a back up team is just like a firefighter, we got call today, and the next day we have to be in the other part of the world to help for a store opening or bla bla bla... anything related to indonesia is complicated, i guess...

Bubbly, good point about Indonesians' trouble with visas, hard to find a solution there because 'rich' countries are always going to be suspicious of people coming from 'poor' countries I guess, controversial topic maybe, .... fascinating to know about the emergency rapid response team for fashion store openings....

Hi everyone...i'm a WNI... really luv the site and I must say thank you very much for all of your concern, frustration, wail, and anger on Indonesia, yet Indonesia is still lovable, ey?
The site's been a fun critic to WNIs (or maybe just me) and a good place where people discuss things on a more logical-basis (something that most of my fellow WNIs can't do...ehm...). Anyway... hope we can continue doing it (enlightening whoever have the darkest n smallest brain on the planet)...
