I don't watch much Indonesian cinema, so have only heard of a few movies (mostly supernatural horror).
I've never heard of an Indonesian musical, not like 'Opera Jawa' but the average family movie-musical like in India and Egypt. Are there any?

Neither have I Zekky, it's all pocongs and religious melo-drama, like Ayat Ayat Cinta and Perempuan Berkalung Sorban, and also 'romanctic comedies' like Mau Lagi. Good question though, why no musicals? The Indian stuff on tv is fairly popular although I think there's less of it now than in the past. A dangdut musical movie, that'd be cool, there was "Mendadak Dangdut" recently but never saw it.
