What does 'Hah!' mean? As in Hah! 110 Waria di Cimahi Idap HIV/AIDS

http://www.inilah.com/news/201…..-hiv/aids/

Inilah sometimes starts their stories with stuff like Hah! and Yuk!, Hih! or sometimes it's Hii! Is there a difference between Hii! and Hih! ?

Then there's Wah! and Walah!

Lah!

Waks!

They may come with various meanings, but I'll have a try:

Hah! : surprised

Yuk! : come on!

Hih! : disgusted

Hii! : disgusted / frightened

Wah! : surprised in a lesser degree than hah!

Walah! : equals with wah! ("weleh-weleh" is the slank of this)

Lah! : surprised in a very low degree

Waks! : never heard of this. Could be just a typo? Smile

Thanks Deta, I almost thought of Hah! as like "Serves them right!" but it's not….

Waks! There's a lot of it

"Wah!" was used repeatedly in Indonesian language textbooks back in the 70s, in conversations where one of the participants was apparently making a "funny" joke.
