it’s just them and their video is not that good. and i think all miyabi does in her ”porn” video is just dancing. that’s it.

Haven’t seen the video yet. But I’ve seen the pictures on various blogs around the internet. I wonder what is it that she sees in Ariel that makes her so attached to him? Haven’t Ariel ever betrayed her when he made a fan of his pregnant and then forced to marry her?

With all due respect, I think that article is complete, utter bollocks. If Indonesia was going to collapse, it would have been around 2000, when one of its provinces seceded; another had a very effective separatist movement; the economy had already contracted by 25% and had not posted any real growth yet; there were horrible, on-going campaigns of ethnic cleansing and religious warfare in four other provinces; a terrorist organization began its bombing campaign; and several very violent militias openly threatened the state and called for violent “jihad” on Indonesian soil; there was a constitutional crisis where the president had to be removed by impeachment; and the power of the military still very much loomed in the background.

But now? That effective separatist movement is no more; the economy has grown by 5-7% every year for the past 5; the ethnic and sectarian violence on Kalimantan and Maluku has ended; JI has been almost completely taken apart; Laskar Jihad disbanded; there have been three successful, regular elections including a very normal and orderly transferal-of-power; and the military has abdicated its political role in Indonesian society.

And with regards to the Islamists, while they may have succeeded in capturing politics in some local arena, contrast that with their fortunes on the national stage. How did all those Islamic parties do in elections, again?

and I still don’t know how to channel my excess anger caused by Frustrad-o-negaraduniake3-tingitis…. Do you think several tequila shots would help? Or maybe hitting some piñatas…. Or playing the popular game of “poking around the bush”. I have this gut feeling that Murphy wrote his law while he was living in some negaraduniake3….

Good idea. And if Ross is a good sport he might want to post links to websites where curing programs for gays can be found. After all, he thinks gays are mentally ill but can be healed back to heterosexuality.

FPI akan menggelar aksi damai di Mabes Polri, Senin, 28 Juni 2010.
OOO Crap!! i drive by the vicinity everyday.

And FPI seems to be the only organisation the government is afraid off. In other words, the president and his ministers allow these thugs to do whatever they want.

These FPI thugs should be deported to Saudi Arabia.

Past presidents Soekarno and Soeharto would round them up and kill them.

I should start another chapter : FPI

    Hi guys,

Haven’t got a chance to edit the video clips. They’re nothing special anyway, I had no interest during the parade to videotape the usual things that go the same from year to year (trannies, emo kids, twinks, lady gagagagaga impersonations, aztec gods, bunny boys, butterflies, angels, etc). Instead I just hopped in to bears truck, and well, did whatever I could not to get too bored (conversing, dancing, some crotch grabbings, etc)…. And in the night I went to Mr. Bear 2010 finale night, and I quickly got bored again (by another lady gagagagaga impersonations). Well, at least saw some friends. So, yeah, no time to edit video right now. Pic for you Ross:

I think the FPI thugs should be sent to Palestine.
Hope that they will be killed there.
    Isn’t it good for all?
They will be sent to heaven coz they’ll die as a martyrs.
Indonesian people will be happy coz they wont be around anymore.
And the government will be happy too coz they couldnt make anything stupid again.

    Problem Solved.

    Disband the FPI!

    http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?noFPI

    38,000 signatures and counting!

  27. diego Says:
    July 1st, 2010 at 9:45 pm

Just signed it. Just curious, does this kind of online petition have any effect? (doubt it).

  28. Odinius Says:

I’d love to see the FPI disband, but I’m not so sure I like the idea of the government banning organizations. Violation of free speech and all.

But here’s a thought…why not just have the police, well, enforce the law? when FPI threaten violence, that’s incitement. When they commit property damage, they’re liable. When they assault someone, that’s assault. Etc.

Don’t need new rules or new laws, just the will to enforce the existing ones.

    @ Odinius

I’d love to see the FPI disband, but I’m not so sure I like the idea of the government banning organizations. Violation of free speech and all.

Aren’t you a tad too hooked up on Thomas Jefferson? If an organization clearly is intended to disrupt the democratic process and impose self-righteously its agenda to the rest of the population I don’t see the slightest objection to disband and outlaw them. It may not be the Jeffersonian politically correct way but at least could be considered as the lesser of two evils. This is called Realpolitik.

  30. Oigal Says:

No point banning them, they would just reform under a different name. All that needs to be done is arrest them under current laws, there is plenty of room to move there.

I am surprised they have not banned them tho, it would be classic example of pretending to something whilst in reality doing nothing.

On the plus side, they do expose the filth that pretend or are trying to pretend to be a political party for all Indonesians. The average Indonesian is not silly and those voicing support for the thugs further reduce their chances of re-election.
