If you limit the voting to only users that are logged in, Diego (and others) can’t cheat by using anonymizers or tor.

    @ Achmad

As for insensitive – alot of disaster victims themselves believed the same thing as Sembiring. Are they, picking up their lives from the rubble, insensitive to themselves ?

Yes, they are because they are so obviously brainwashed that they even believe this bullshit and let themselves be talked into a guilt complex for things beyond their comprehension. Wouldn’t it be better for them to adopt a different stance and do something for protection against earthquakes and other natural disasters like is done in other parts of Asia?

Alot of people in Indonesia believe in God, Oigal.

But also in different gods. I have never heard Hindus blaim themselves for Shiva’s destructions.

    @ bs

OOT, but do you realize that your gravatar can be considered ‘pornographic’ – at least for Indonesian standards – depending on how you look at it?

But rest assured, it doesn’t bother me at all.

    @ET
Maybe, depending on how you look at it ;-)

So it’s not my imagination after all. What a relief.

I just think that it’s funny that they are equating prostitution with “free sex”. The logic is wonderfully laughable.

Prostitution specifically involves a transaction of money (in fact, so does marriage in certain countries). I don’t want to equate marriage with prostitution, however where there’s money involved and a woman becomes the “man’s wife” (note the possessive use of the term)… we are talking about sex that must be PAID FOR in some respect.

So which is it? You can’t rally against prostitution and free sex at the same time!
No wonder men and women have trouble relating to each other when there’s this contradiction shoved down to everyone!

Although you’re right that when translating “seks bebas” to “free sex” the meaning of the term changes a bit, but I think you get the idea.
I find it annoying too, just like using “refreshing” for recreation, hepi for happy, etc.

But this thread is going way off topic now …

If ‘free sex’ means I don’t have to pay then I’m all for it.

Indonesia is so deep sinking in moral depravity and decadence so that the people let a freak and religious fanatic like Tifatul Sembiring be one of their leaders.

NG. You need to study the economic dynamics of your own country. Java is a net importer of all its power, food and without the provinces of Sumatera, Papua, Kalimantan and others would be nothing more than another failed state relying on world aid to survive.

The fact Java is clinging to a Dutch constuct as a nation would indicate that perhaps it would be smarter to drop the arrogance and show a little more respect to those that feed and clothe her.
