October 12th, 2009 at 7:27 pmWhile there are some people in its history who have received the Nobel Peace Prize that deserved it a hell-of-a-lot less than Barack Obama (Henry Kissinger and Yassar Arafat come instantly to mind), I don’t think the good folks in Olslo did the president any favors by presenting the Nobel to him so early in his presidency.
Woodrow Wilson received his in 1919 only after his work for the League of Nations (at considerable cost to his own physical health).
Theodore Roosevelt obtained his prize in 1906 after negotiating an end to the war between Japan and Russia.
Jimmy Carter got his (post-presidency) after bringing Egypt and Israel together – no small feat!
All due respect to the president – after all, he never solicited this award and it was as much of a surprise to him as it was to everybody else – but what the hell has HE done for peace lately?
Am I missing something?

This abuse of the Nobel Prize was bad enough when Gore got it, but the old pinkos on the awarding committee are clearly following their own political agenda in honouring the charlatan in the White House. He has repeatedly refused to disown the terrorist Ayers, an instrumental figure in Barack Husein’s rise and rise. Some peace champion.
As for improving relations with the Muslim world, yeah, right, if you call grovelling a means of improvement. -

October 15th, 2009 at 4:38 amOver-awarded nice guy : “it’s easiest to do favours to those who don’t need them”. On ne prête qu’aux riches. And I’ll add : on ne donne qu’aux milliardaires. Wasn’t there a poorer, more discreet, and more efficient peace-maker under the sky ? The prize is worth nearly one million euros… Is Barack gonna repay Ayers some ghost-writings ?

October 15th, 2009 at 10:40 pmBarrack Obama doesn’t deserve the Nobel Peace Prize, he admits he doesn’t deserve it, the vast majority of Americans feel he has done nothing to earn it , but that won’t stop him from accepting such an award, after all he is Barrack Obama. The Euro-liberals know his weakness and how to manipulate his ego and have given Obama this award, in an attempt to infulence American foreign policy. The Aim of the commitee is to further deteriate the strenghth of the USA. The Nobel prize puts him in fine company with Jimmy Carter. They will be recorded in history as the 2 weakest presidents of the USA. Thankfully and by the narrowest of margins Al Gore (fellow Nobel Peace Prize recipient) will not share with them that distinction.

Obama’s ‘prize’ was bestown by Norwegians, who, the last time I was there, were mostly blonde-haired and blue-eyed. But I don’t condemn all ‘nordics’ because of that handful’s political prejudice and blatant bias.

It’s true, I was a little tired and feeble yesterday, but I was hoping you’d get at least a little incensed at the unfounded implication of racism. On Nelson Mandela, when he won the Nobel Prize, he was officially a terrorist in the U.S. – a label rescinded only in mid-2008.
