    Nationalism does not mean much to me anymore. I find that nationalism can only be reinforced when the government actively supports the welfare of its citizens. In Indonesia, the government does not seem to want to take care of the welfare aspect of its citizens.

    Look at Bird Flu cases. Look at Aceh Tsunami cases. Pangandaran Tsunami. and many more…

    As Indonesians loose their sense of being Indonesian, what will replace it? Will Indonesia collapse like Yugoslavia? Will we see open warfare between Sunda and Jawa; Batak and Aceh; Ambon and everybody else? Too much nationalism is bad; too little is just as bad.

    Indonesia will really unify again, if Islam in Indonesia really eradicate completely.
