Not true. abraham was the first to realised that God does not require to be worshipped like what abraham’s father worshipped i.e. things other than God, but Abraham refused to follow the religion of his father and community. There is not statement indicating that abraham prayed five time a day etc and build mosques.hence abraham probably lived a different life to that of present day muslim religionist.

The Quran does not need to be reformed nor does Islam, Muslims need to be reformed. The post is about Sister Dee. She has the right to dress as she pleases, in fact to live as she pleases. God alone should judge her.

The quran should be studied with caution. Any scripture could be manipulated to serve cetain people . look at what happened to the bible and torah. As for the people of the religion of islam, you do not require a PHd to realise that they are presently quite backward in knowledge concerning the heavens and the earth and everything in it, preffering to spend their time in mosque and reading a scripture in a foreign language they do not comprehend.

But you are correct about the a person’s dressing. It is up to the individual. For who are we, mere mortals to judge.

Assalamu’alaikum wr.wb, hello dee. I’m indonesian and I’m moslem girl also and I wear hijab just like you. I feel really interested with your story because it’s like mine. I adore h.i.m, hyde of laruku, gackt camui, muse, even davey havok’s afi. Most of them are gothick rockers, and I’m really feel fine with that. Their music keeps me smart and undull. You know, islam and the goths are historically related. Do you know that many goths converted to islam after the muslim army conquering spain? Well that’s fact. Islam is universal religion, and islam in indonesia shows it! Better than anywhere on earth now. I know because I have learnt islamology when I was in arabic literary departement in ugm. And I was really disappointed with my classmates, since they only appear to be moslems and lost the real values of Islam. It’s so much ok to be a gothess, since goth subculture was highly influenced by islam. I’ll tell you, the goths ornament was influence by islamic arabesque, and that shows the close relation between two.

Assallamu alaikum nacheez,

As you are no doubt aware, Abu Bakar, the first caliph, and Umar the second were elected by the followers of the Prophet. This was fine and according to Quranic guidance, however even at that time the supporters of Ali caused problems because they wanted a familial sucession, this political disagreement led to the Sunni/Shia Schism.

After the murder of Umar, the Companions of The Prophet decided who was to succede him, this was not according to Quranic guidlines, as it did not involve the Ummah. This to me is when the decline of Islam really dates from. Uthman appointed many members of his family and tribe into important positions of power, they were seem by the Ummah as being corrupt and misruling. Spending lavishly from the State Treasury for their own purposes. Uthan who is responsible for the present form of Al Quran, was said to have flogged some of the campanions of The Prophet, who disagreed, with him, this fact must be borne in mind when reading Al Quran, if the Companions of the Prophet, did not like what Utham was doing, why? What was their reason?

Ali, was also appointed by commitee, rather than following Quranic guidance and consultation with the Ummah. His rule ended when he was assasinated by the Kharijites who felt that he and others had caused dissent and argument and ultimately divisions amongst the Ummah.

When all is said and done, none of them were Divinely chosen as was The Prophet, they all had human failings.

She may not be goth enough for some goths or muslim enough for some muslims, but she’s true to who she thinks she is and expresses herself. So…she’s cool. Don’t let uptight s**ts get you down babe!

Probably not goth enough for some, maybe! But definitely more goth than me!

The best advice anyone can ever give to people is “be true to yourself”!

So, as long as Dee is happy then I bet those people around her and who care for her are probably a happy group as well!

Mashallah this sister is to beautiful in hijab! I’m sorry I have to point this out, but it seems no one has said the obvious here. Has Bi Allah Wan Amil Wakeel .I’m from the western world, and grew up during the Kiss era here. I wasnt Muslimah then, I’m a revert of 2 years now. Subhanallah..we should be very careful what we wear when it comes to showing off words, names or pics we are not 100 percent positive about. Kiss had some nice music back in the day. But I wonder if this Muslimah knows that back in the 70’s when this band was in its hey day, (meaning..during its popular time) the name of the band Kiss was linked to the meaning..Kids In Service of Satan. Every Christian and Kaffr back in this time, even to this day..knows the meaning of the abbreviation of the name of this group.It was even put in the press if you played the records backward you could hear Satanic messeges. Even if this statement wasnt true about the band, it was still linked to this. No one really knows except probly the band itself and closest people, whether they were allowing this to continue on in the press for the sake of making money, or if it was really true.
I guess it really comes down to WHY you are wearing hijab. Because if your covering because your a pious woman of Allah, why would you want to intentionally wear anything that would link you to this? I see many more kids from Middle Eastern countries that listen to bands that are termed heavy metal. Yet they dont know the history of the band. There are a few bands i see here from the US , that i KNOW worship Satan, and the kids are not only listening to it,they are advertising for it. And i believe that some of them dont really know. And if they do know,they believe its all Hype. We have to be very careful because this one of the ways the Shaytan dupes us. This is one of the reasons we are told to stay away from music. WOW:) I always thought about dressing goth Muslim style or harajuku but then I I’d always think that it was impossible ….. But thank you for letting me see that I’m not the only one thinking about dressing gothish while wearing youre hijab thank you thank you thank you

i checked out the goth bird’s profile pics… she’s actually not bad at all. rare example of a fully tricked out muslimah one would actually WANT to see wearing less. if we have to see more and more of them, can’t someone at least clone this one?

I dont see what the big deal is?You see girls like this all the time in indonesia..i thought it was quite common..
ive seen skinhead girls in indonesia dressed like they came out of camden market in 1982 and that was around 8 years ago..thats was a lot more interesting than this

She’s definitely NOT the first goth I’ve seen. There are many muslim goth, such as:

1. Ki Joko Bodo, an indonesian muslim shaman and indonesian goth.
2. Dedy corbuzier’s wife (I forget her name), she’s a faithful muslimah and a REAL GOTH (she wrote sublime and beautiful poems)
3. Peter Murphy, vocalist of Bauhaus band (thought I’ve read above comment already mentioned.)

And when I said she’s not the only one, well.. she’s not! This guy is also a FAITHFUL MUSLIM, was a goth, and still a goth.
