Pooh… I charge 5 mio/nite. Hair plaiting included. But I don’t do davids, thank you.
Patung, I’m considering opening a thread here where people can offer their services. Perhaps this can be an added value of this dating site you’re planning to set up.

Yes sounds, er, interesting, it’d be even better with photos though… Dewa needs to let the sheilas see the goods before they order.

Definitely not. I don’t want to get stampeded.
I ever read in jakarta post about an expat open dating service for indonesian kampung girls (from his wife kampung/village) to meet expat. Guess that guy age ? 60ies something and the wife is just 21… hahahahaha…
…he did got lots of money from the website…
>>>too bad can’t remember the website now !!!
Farah, I think you mean http://www.an-asian-wife.com/!
I also remember that article Farah – not one of Duncan Graham’s most high-brow pieces I must say. One bit sticks in my memory where he coyly insinuated about “man to man” comments the randy old goat had made to him during the course of the interview… I think few articles have exercised the readers’ correspondance of JP as much as that one did…
Just checked the URL.
Farah, the age difference, Yuyun is 23 and Sheldon is 72. She doesn’t look bad so I suppose grandpa did a very good job with whatever he got in his pants or wallet.
Patung, a prime example on how to set up a dating website in simple HTML format…. I bookmarked the URL just in case.
I am back.
Yess…yes !!! thats the grand pa !! right web site thanks patung !
Honestly i read this article when i am about to wrap some hot pisang goreng with the newspaper at office, hahaha then i see the article.. and read it !
Hahah i think its both pants and wallet. I check the website and honestly I DONT believe all those girls are ABOVE 25 !! they seemed like below 20 years old ! especially these days teenagers at kampung wear make up too much (more than city girls !).
e.g girls name pingkan, devi or eni… her round face seemed like she is below 21 !
And yeah… hahaha good website btw ! simple and i bet want to attract few more pedhopile to get new wife… heheheheheh
In Bandung, I can only see bule at the grocery.. (supermarket setiabudhi). And I think, they’re married. That’s why I said it’s hard to find single bule in Bandung..
Are you the same person who wrote blogs about Surabaya? I am a big fan of his writings tho I hadn’t had that much time to read all of his blogs. I just read a few and I like the way he writes… He’s from UK I think.
Sorry Patung, I shouldn’t have use this page to say that. And no, I don’t mean to trap timdog to be my devoted bf/hubby. Hehe
Yes Jen, that’s me, but shhhhhh!!!! don’t tell anyone around here who I am!
Muthi, I think the book “How to Catch Mr Bule” has some advice on where to find single bules, maybe even in Bandung.
Jen, that’s alright! I was wondering how long it would be before someone ‘outed’ timdog, he’s left enough clues.
Farah, An Asian Wife is one strange site yes, although it does say for the age “up to 25″, means they’re 25 or younger.
TD: I hope a man of your taste and discernment has chosen a good blog name. The two most obvious candidates being:
hehehe… actually I was never making any particularly concerted effort to be “in”; it’s obviously rather flattering to think that my “real identity” might be worthy of “outing”!
I won’t out you if you don’t out me.
Hah??? Do I know you Achmad? $%£**! If I do I will be most disappointed; I have become so very fond of the little man from Purbolingo that I would never wish to see him outed as another generic bule or foreign-educated urban Indonesian…
Also, given Patung’s liberal scattering of clues (more like definitive statements really) about geographical location I am slightly troubled by the possibility that I might know his “real life” alter-ego too… I’d rather not – I like his enigmatic omnipresence…
Hi, I am an Indonesian female, just want to share a little story about this topic
Few years back, I attended a course in the U.S. and there I met a Chilean guy.
Soon we became good friends, and he always told me that he loved Asian girls for many reasons.
After 3 months we realized that we had special feeling, then…just like that we fell in love.
For 4 months of togetherness, we did not include ‘bed’ in our date, simply because I asked him not to do it, well….I still thought that I would do it with my future husband, and he he could understand it.
After the course finished, we went back to our home countries, it was 2 years ago.
The fact that we lived far away from each other, and we both had good jobs that we could not just leave them, made us take a hard decision to end our relationship.
It’s been 2 years since we broke up, but till today he never fails to write me mail, everyday, so no day without mail from him ( he has a GF now)
And he still says ” I am so F#$@*^g in love with Indonesian girl “
Aren’t we all?
euuuuhhhh…..and how about the “below age” rules ? i think i saw one of these girls are 15 ?
i think we ever discuss about the below age comments here…
The Jl. Jaksa English teacher who manages to figure out a pedagogical plan for getting across the notion that ‘ever is not the opposite of ‘never’ is going to retire rich (or die on 6th floor with a smile on his face).
Can’t be done kinch… it’s “first language interference”; we all do similar things if we speak a foreign language, even if we’re very, very fluent…
Interestingly, I once read that the unusual word order in Cornish dialect English (“good izee?” not “is it good?”) could be fossilised interference from the Cornish language – extinct for 200 years!
I am NOT one EVER to criticise other people’s language skills but, farah – “ever” is not like “pernah”: you can only use it in questions or negative sentences, not positive ones…
You really cannot hide your feelings for Farah, can you?
I will sing you love-lullabys on my ukuele to heal the pain, baby.
I will do the same for you, baby.
Especially for you…
And the same for you all, Babies.
Except for Ross.
Him I will make cangkul in a particularly bad panen…
Va Va Voom !
Lairedion: Can’t sleep at night.
Tim: You’re too kind. Personally I don’t mind engaging the odd occasional linguistic smack down (especially when it’s actually some kind of weird projection of my lust for Farah). I’m perfectly aware, of course, why Indonesian people do this… and would claim some familiarity with a few other examples of same: e.g. common HK English usage “I’ll call you after I go back to the office” – this said at 7am whilst eating breakfast at home – a native speaker would tend not to say this as had not yet been in the office on that particular day. ‘Go back to the office’ being direct translation of the Cantonese ‘faan gungsi’ which of course is perfectly natural qua Cantonese. Funny thing is that I ended up speaking English in a fairly Hongkie-ish mode and people in Australia thought I was some kind of retard.
Pak Sono: Don’t know what has got into you… have you been eating catnip again? Oh, I know… it’s those funny-smelling Acapulco kreteks.
Kinch: a special song on the ukuele for u. x o
Money, sex & age issues aside.
From my observations, the strength of most Indonesian females I’ve known (living locally or abroad) I think lies within their resilience in coping with what life is throwing at them. Also, they are usually compassionate and committed (at times even over-protective or attached) to their children …and husband/spouse as deserved
From my experience, their “strength” lies elsewhere. Just ask the Madurese men !
Va Va Voom !
Ustad Achmad: perhaps your true musical calling might be the squeeze box.
Is it difficult to get to know well an Indonesian girl in their 20s ?
Here in Europe, the easiest age to know well girls is during their teen age;
passed that, all you get mostly is pure clubbing, hang out, sex and crazy stuff.
It’s really exciting whatsoever, but after all you get tired and want to “have” something serious..
But you’re in the wrong period to go through your mission and have to cry blood to find a fine women.
Truly it is said that a prophet is without honour in his own land!
