   The decision to lop five years off her sentence has angered some in the country, with former Justice minister Yusril Ihza Mahendra leading the charge.

   Maybe YIM will feel differently if/when he spends some time in the slammer. He was being investigated.

   Yusril, who reportedly has nurtured a grudge against Yudhoyono since he was fired as state secretary in 2008, has used his legal acumen to win several high-profile lawsuits against Yudhoyono’s government.

   After Corby asked Indonesia’s president for clemency in 2010, a supreme court judge advised him to grant a five-year sentence cut.

   Well for me, it’s the sheer inconsistency, you can hack someone to bits…Three months, raise the wrong flag..ten years…bring in some dope to the dope and pill Capitol of SE Asia..20 years..go to a pill popping party with the done of presidential candidate ..three months.

   Still, it keeps you laughing at them. Was a hoot last week, got some pissant cop after his piece of graph. He honestly didn’t realize how much fun we had at his expense for 50,000rp. Dirty and dumb as a pile of rocks, not a good combination.

   The same country that whines and moans when its own citizens abroad are incarcerated or sentenced to death for far worse crimes really should take a look in the mirror.

   Wasn’t YM justice minister while tommy suharto received a record number of sentence reductions for masterminding the murder of a supreme court judge? Seemed to me tommy did about 5 years of a 15 year sentence. Of all people to be whining about sentence reductions it should not be Pak Yusril. It bizarre to think that someone who attacks the justice system is more entitled to a reduction/remission than a pothead. As oigal said there is simply no consistency in Indonesia – unless its the consistency of short term interests.

   Corby’s sister is wasting her money trying to get clemency
   Indon gov is not stupid, corby is a gold mine, monies coming in from visitors, court proceedings and other bs. Bali bomb memorial is also another bs to attract more dollars. The memorial was also built by aus taxpayers.
