gimana bisa kita mengasihi Allah yang tidak bisa kita lihat? sementara saudara yg kita bisa lihat saja kita tidak bisa mengasihinya. ketika banyak orang melakukan kejahatan dan mengintimidasi orang lain, itu adalah tanggung jawab kita sebagai anak Tuhan yang telah mengerti kebenaran tp tidak mau membagikan kebenaran itu kpd mreka. karna hanya orang sakit saja yang memerlukan tabib, dan kitalh tabib yg Tuhan pakai tuk menyembuhkan mreka. ketika dulu saya hidup dg kesia siaan dan menghujat Tuhan, tp mreka datang. dan setelah bertahun tahun apa yg Anak anak Tuhan tabur dalam hidup saya, barulah digenapi Tuhan. dan akhirnya saya mengerti bahwa kita akan mengalami pemulihan karna kasih Tuhan ketika kemuliaan Tuhan dinyatakan dalam hidup kita. dan kemuliaan itu terjadi waktu kabar baik disampaikan, ketika anak Tuhan melepaskan penjara kedagingan dan duniawi orang dunia. berbahagialh kita orang yang dipercaya Tuhan tuk melepaskan pengampunan bagi mreka yang mengintimidasi anak Tuhan……… Kami bangga menjadi anak anakMU , Tuhan ditempatkan di Indonesia. sesuatu yang besar pasti terjadi dan akan memulihkan bangsa kami. inilah saatnya kami menuai, karena tuaian banyak tp pekerja sedikit. kami siap dipakai Tuhan…

Memang memprihatinkan jika ada agt tubuh kristus yang mendapatkan ketidakadilan, seperti dipersulit mendptkan ijin bergereja, atau tempat ibadah ditutup. Namun sebenarnya hal itu sudah dapat diprediksi karena sudah dinubuatkan demikian. sebenarnya di indonesia kita dapat berbuat lebih banyak untuk saudara2 kita dibanding mereka yang ada di negara maju seperti eropa dan amerika. ketika ada saudara kita dalam kristus yang menderita aniaya, kita dapat memilih satu dari 2 sikap: membenci si penganiaya, atau mengasihi dan mendoakan yang teraniaya. Saya menganjurkan jangan sampai ada yang timbul kebencian terhadap siapa pun juga, sebaliknya kita juga perlu mendoakan mereka, karena sesungguhnya kasih atau kebencian adalah pilihan, bukan sekedar perasaan. Karena itu lebih baik memilih untuk mengasihi. ada gereja yang ditutup, tetapi puji tuhan, banyak yang berdiri. Bagaimana kalau kita mendukung gereja2 yang berdiri ini. merintis gereja bukan hal yg mudah dan pasti mereka juga mengalami banyak hambatan. Ada teman yang memberikan saya sebuah proposal pendirian gereja baru di daerah sukapura cakung, jakarta utara. Mereka sudah beribadah sejak 8 tahun yg lalu, yg bermula dgn persekutuan kecil. Saat ini agtnya sudah berjumlah lebih dari 100 orang. mereka ini berada di tengah2 warga muslim. saat ini mereka kesulitan beribadah karena tempat yg mereka tempati adalah menyewa garasi orang, dan tempat tersebut akan dipakai untuk hal lain. Why do others broke the church.
We have to forgive them. I think we as christian have to keep good relations with those who line near the church because we are strangers there. we can be smile any time, give donation, help them in the time of need. If they feel that we are paying attention to them and make a very good relationship, I think they are not willing to broke our church. So friendly to everybody.

You could go into gogle and check May 1998 Indonesian riot, Conflict in Kalimantan, it will bring you right back from 1965 till this day. But nothing from there will bring you any closer to what your desire to write in your thesis.

Try Staatsbald law in Indonesia. Exploit on them and expand to bring them to reality. Inter relate them with the conflicts and redefine the current Indonesian laws and law governing the human rights and you should find that more interesting.

You should concentrate more on test case as well as country conditions report from elsewhere. But not too much from the DOS in the US because they are more incline to tune down the situation that might gives you a difference in opinion.

are you doing what you have said? Or just throw an opinion which implies a bit bitterness? It is nice to do worship with only three people, as it is with many. That’s not the point I believe and I don’t think we need to relate that with leaving Indonesia. That’s a jump to a conclusion.
Our moslem brothers, some of them of course, not all, are quite sensititve and easy to be provoked. We really need to be patient with them and behave sensibly. On the other hand, we also need to become one with our own brothers and sisters christian, they suffer a lot and we do not need to make any worse.
Let all the attacks and persecutions become our way of life as indonesian christians, because Christ himself has shown His during His life. I believe you understand that our christian number has grown despite persecutions, because the more christians persecuted the more we become. Our faith in Christ could climb to higher levels through these sufferings. Our godly love to others is purified and this truly delights God. Isn’t that amazing? This is God’s grace that we are allowed to suffer because of His Name.
If we feel bitter with what we see and experience, be careful, because this will not do any good. Even we will be victimized by Satan, who is always keen to put us away from becoming a true christian, who will forgive unconditionally those who do evil to us.

Everything you write is premised on Chinese Indonesians leaving Indonesia for supposedly better climes elsewhere.

Mario’s research could well be valid in the Indonesian context. It depends on what his focus is and what he is going to ttry and prove as his thesis statement. Perhaps Mario’s thesis may even contribute to a better understanding of the law in this area.

You are entitled to your opinion and IM gives you a forum for you to express that opinion. Thankfully, yours is not the only opinion here!

in my opinion, there is no need to file complaints to Komnas HAM or for Mario to research in this topic in Indonesia. Mario shall perform the research in the middle east, better still in the Jerusalem/Palestine region, surely you will get the fresh & root cause problems.
Like I said, christianity are well known as peaceful, promote love & tolerant to others without vested interest & no prerequisites. As such, if you re no longer feel good about Indonesia and the majority threatening your ideology/religion existance, the solution is get out from Indonesia.
My reasons are simple,
1. if christian retaliate against muslim hardliners, you are violating the scriptures that you believe in it
2. if there are 3 or more people believe in God, physically you do not need a building called as church to worship HIM, you can prey & worship HIM on the football fields indeed, there is nothing wrong period. Similarly, you do not need to wear a nice dress, lto drive a uxurious car and sit inside a new church buildings to worship HIM.

So, where is the problem ? think about it, 3 persons prey in football field everyday and exactly do as the scriptures said for promoting love to the society. I believe the next day, you may hv another person join you, do it everyday, within a month, there maybe 33 persons join you, do it everyday, in a year there will be thousand with you in the football field. Like beijing olympic opening, the football field can accomodate 80,000 audience, yes actually without a ‘church’ as a building, there are limitless of audience, I think it is even better for you !
You do not need a building called church to worship HIM indeed, I do not see any problems unless I am wrong
