Dear all Brown Brothers,

I believe all of you who contributed in this thread are our long lost beloved brown brothers from the Indian sub-continent. Eons ago, your sea-faring, adventurous and business-minded ancestors came to our nusantara in search of friendship, trading in spices, exchange of ideas and cooking recipes. We have countless ancient monuments and relics scatterred around the islands to prove it. We named our national airline GARUDA (NOT Buraq), which I believe is one of your mystical bird in your land.

Sigh .. sign of times, how things have changed. Now you come in nappies on your head and carried Arab names; and instead of coming up with the best curry recipes, you have bomb recipe for disasters for those whom you think are not islamic enough.

Brothers, I pray that our philosophy of Javanese brotherhood could reach you before you lose their sanity.

“Bismillah hirrahman nirraheem” In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, Ever Merciful. The Graciousness and Merciful deeds are to be there for commencing any act in the name of Allah whenever, wherever, whatever we start anything. Will the blood thirsty Jihadis remember this whenever they do it? If they remember this prayer, they cannot do any harm to anyone or to anything. If they do harm people, then they are forgetting this prayer. So it could not be in the name of Allah. Where do you want to be placed. Even if you break or cause any damage to any prayer house of any religious place or worshipping place, you have to remember this prayer. A true Muslim has to follow the path of Holy Prophet ( saw).

Question to a True Muslim?

Whom do you think in this world the most and most persecuted person who suffered and humiliated by others for years? Any true muslim would say it is our Prophet Muhammad (sal). Am I right.?. The sufferings he met was worse in this world than any other sufferings. Is it correct? What did he do for this ? He forgave his enemies, he gave all rights to his enemies. freedom to choose their religion and said there is no compulsion, when he conquered Makkah and set an example to others. Today, this victory has been rated as the most amazing victory by the historians. It is a stunning revenge. Islam did spread by Love and affection. What is happening today? The muslims are killing each other in the name of religion which has no precedence or teachings of our Holy Prophet ( sal). They listen to Mullahs and Jihadis and do it. They do all sort of distortion in the name of Islam. Do they think that their sufferings are bigger than our Holy Prophet ( sal)’s sufferings? A true muslim will not think that way. His suffering is very small compared to his master’s. He has to follow the foot path of his master. He cannot think that his suffering is bigger than his master’s. Follow the path of Holy Prophet ( sal). Do you follow the path of Allah’s messenger or the path of mullahs who spreads hatredism and disturb the peace in this world. If you follow the path of Prophet (sal), you will pray to Allah who will be your Saviour.

Prophet Muhammad ( sal) lived in this world for 63 years. If we calculate, it would be around 22680 days. Out of this 22680 days, his days on war ( Jihad) was only 146 days. Our Prophet (sal) of worlds described this Jihad as Jihad-e-saghir ( small jihad). This is not an imagination. This is a true. For this Jihad he spent nearly 290 days on travelling. So the remaining 22,244 he was teaching us. His entire life became the teachings for us. He reminded us while returning from the war, that we were now returning from small jihad to Jihad-e-akbar ( the big Jihad, the real Jihad). We have to pray, serve the mankind with love and affection, attend and help the poor and needy. These are the most wonderful service to humanity which is the need of the hour taught and practised by the messenger of Allah. So we should concentrate on Jihad-e-akbar !

I couldn’t agree more. The same were said of our holy martyrs, peace be upon them; who followed in the footstep of our prophet Mohammad saw..

Most of today’s jihad lasted from few hours to 1 or 2 days; not throughtout the entire lives of the jihadis. Our Bali bombers took few days to survey the site and one day to detonate the bombs. The 9/11 jihadis took less than a day from boarding the planes, hijacking and slamming into buildings. All these lasted only few days the most. If only the readers could use calculators to show we are not murderers. The rest of their lives they were loving friends, brothers, fathers and sons.

(Off Topic) all this talk about curry recipes reminds me of a skit by Rowan Atkinson on Not the 9 O’clock News…..

“And now on the question of immigration, a very emotive issue…… I like Indian people as much as the next fellow, but the question is that now that we have the recipe for Curry, is there really any need for them to stay?”

We are as much curry eaters as our Indian sub-continent Brown brothers. We have adopted and infused curry as one of our favourite dishes. The best fish head curry is made by the Melayus, the nyonyas came up with the best modified curry – the Laksa. In Indonesia, we have different variation of lamb and chicken curries from Sumatra to Bali version. But the original recipes were from our Brown brothers far far west. I doubt whether any of these posters have any curry recipe to share, maybe bomb recipe as they are more interested in jihad.

Were these curries from India brought by Indian Muslims or Hindus? Hindus are the majority on the Indian subcontinent and we may need to turn to them for recipes. Perhaps a new thread can be started here on IM in which we can discuss the influence of Indian cuisine in Indonesia.

Its amazing that every religion during the persecution period is all about love and brotherhood and freedom of religion but once they come into power they do the exact same thing their persecutors used to do to them. The Christians were persecuted for 300 years by the Romans and all during this period they preached love. But once they got power they declared apostasy a capital crime and for one thousand years they wrecked havoc and killed people right and left in the name of religion. The inquisitions and the witch hunts and what not. The same thing was done by the Muslims. When in Mecca it was all love, love, love but once they had power the bloodbath begins. And they’re not done yet. As we can see in Indonesia. I don’t understand why don’t these people grow up and get a life?

Many thank you give us a strong justification for prosecuting Ahmadiya follower ASAP before it is too late and Ahmadiya come into power and turn on us.

I take it that your silence on this matter indicates that I have finally opened your eyes to logic. Insyallah you are enlightened. Leave our Indonesian Ahmadiyah alone. Let Allah swt deal with them.

Our Javanese sisters can teach you a lesson or two on filial piety. Be proud of your own heritage. Indian ladies have beautiful facial features with big beautiful eyes just as our Javanese sisters, only their skin a tad more tanner. Revert back to your ancestral name, example Leela, Shaila or Shanti. There is nothing to be ashamed of. I am sure all our curry brothers agree ‘Leela Ramalingam’ sounds better than ‘Fatima Basheeruddin’. Savoury lamb curry also tastes better than tasteless lamb kebab.

Of course the Hindus because the whole nusantara adopted Indian culture before Islam came ashore. Unlike in India where northern curry eaters were forced to convert en masse, Islam came peacefully to Java island because the islamic preachers were aware we defeated the Mongolian army, not once but twice. We kick butts.

Well the Javanese made their own version of it. Tagore, a famous Indian poet, visited Java and cited, “I see India everywhere, but I cannot recognize it.” But that’s only natural, Indonesia and India have different surroundings and climate and are ethnically from different stock.

Curries (spicy sauces diluted with coconut milk) and the addition of cumin, coriander, ginger and caraway in many Indonesian cuisine are India’s contribution. Indonesian culture was greatly influenced by India, making this influence obvious even in the cooking methods and techniques. India was one of the world’s most famous countries where condiment exportation was concerned. So it’s only natural that by having been influenced in the culture, the food preparation techniques would also be influenced. (These are not my own words but from cookbookwiki).

One more useful advice for Miss Rufo’s enlightenment. With Indonesian Islam, you don’t need to be called Saleha, Fatima, Aisha or Rafidato be muslim. Our Indonesian celebrities such as Luna Maya, Kiki Amalia and Mayangsari are Muslim. Once in a while, they gathered up with friends and discussed lastest curry ingredients and cooking techniques for their families. I am sure I can find Nail Bomb recipe in your closet, and when you gathered with your friends, you cook up plans to harm Ahmadiyas.

May be non-kafirs ( true jihadis) are told to take sheltor under burqa. You may say that they are allowed to hide according to hadiths. You may bring hadiths. Prophet did not hide in any war. Hey, The Burqa Mullahs strike back ! The Jamat e Islami sect, Jamiatul Ulema sect, Nadhvathul Ulama sect, Salfiya sect and many other islamic sects have given a fatwa in Dharul Uloom, UP, India on25th February, about Jihadi Terrorism. They say it is forbidden in Islam and anyone who does it is doing on their own and it has no connectivity to Islam. They condemn such act of terrorism in the name of Jihad. Howzzzzzzzzzzzzz that?? They condemned terrorism of all types and forms. They asked the community to remain calm and exercise patience, make an independent analysis of the scenario and lodge peaceful protest whenever such a need arose. Representatives from about 6000 madrasas from all over India, Ulemas and representatives of different organisation attended the conference.

When it was proclaimed by the Promised Messiah at his time saying the Jihad of Pen has more power than the Jihad of sword, the same mullah elements rejected it 100 years ago and shouted that he was Kafir ( God forbid) . Now the same mullah elements declare that they want peaceful Jihad. What a great somersault. It is easy for these elements to denounce their earlier stand because they are not fearful to Allah the Almighty. Ahmadies welcome this dramatic change. However, it took 100 years to accept his announcement.
