Hi Patung, how about my blog? It’s http://anitacarmencita.blogspot.com. It’s not a heavy blog like, for example, Unspun’s or Wimar Witoelar, it’s more personal about my own experience and culture shock to have to move to Scotland.
Your call.
Cheers.
Have you seen this one? This is really impressive. http://my-musings.blogdrive.com/
I like this one, sarcastic, funny, sometimes sappy.
Anita yes I’ve already got the blogs of people who comment here like yours and Parvita’s. Parvita and Ihaknt thanks I put those down, hmm, the best ones seem to be written by women.
Bebek rewel is funny too, but I dont know the link. This one here is great if you want to travel. But the author is in the Philippines at the moment so she hardly writes. But it’s still a great one. Very funny.
http://naked-traveler.blogspot.com/ forgot the link
Woah. Duck really happy to know that somebody acknowledged bebekrewel.com as funny blog ^___^
(although for the last few months, I don’t have enough time to write funny posting.
)

Perhaps if we can see your list, it would be easier to see what’s not already there.
On a more serious matters:
http://orwelliancharade.blogspot.com/
This is a relatively new blog, I’m embarrassed to nominate my own, but don’t discredit this nomination based on my part.
Written in English by a group of Indonesian high school students, the level of English is great, with varying topic range from politics, emotions and loss of culture.
Very opinionated, but often witty and interesting
Excerpts:
On Communism
“…..Years of hopeless indoctrination by the state and society has left us Indonesians irrevocably brainwashed and susceptible moronic rants filled ignorance.
But seriously, what is it with this country and its unfathomable hatred of all things related to Communism? …… “
Sutiyoso’s Brilliance
“The busway, they say, is our city’s “brilliant” answer to public transportation. True, the provision public transportation has been improved over these past seven years. But something meant to ease the congestion here has, in fact, done the exact opposite.
Sutiyoso’s brainchild has taken up about one of three lanes of virtually every major thoroughfare of Jakarta. Roads, already underprovided, are taken up to give room for a bus lane that is barely functional. Meanwhile, Indonesia is the fastest growing market in the world for motorcycles, and what is left of Jakarta’s roads are infested by these ridiculously reckless two-wheelers. Tragedy befalls us - the growth of the market for cars here is no less substantial.”
On Fear
“Some people walk with shadows wrapped around their ankles. These are the people who keep throwing looks over their shoulder at the teeth and claws only they can see, reaching out of the shadows. They walk with small, scared steps that make no sound on the floor but echo like earthquakes inside their own heads. They will give you a quick, (self-)reassuring smile as they pass; trailing shadows and imaginary monsters.
They walk either with backs painfully straight or hunched, because fear can choose either to drag a slimy, cold finger down your spine or shove its clammy fist right into your gut. It whips out a handkerchief and binds your jaw to your skull so you can’t say help me; and the only sounds you can produce are a pathetic little whimper and an apocalyptic shriek. Fear laughs in your face as you scream your heart out when no one hears.”
Patung, have you seen http://rovicky.wordpress.com/
This is in Indonesian, but this explains geology in a very, very simple manner. It’s part of socializing geology to people.

It’s a “secret” at the moment, I’m working on something. People can just list their favourites, doesn’t matter if I’ve already got them.
Patung, have you seen http://rovicky.wordpress.com/

Ok thanks I put that one down.
I have visited this blog, http://genenetto.blogspot.com. This blog is belong to Australian. He is an English teacher who taught in Indonesia. The blog is educative.
Halo Mr. Patung, My Friends, I am submit article for yous. I hope you will still be my Special Internet Friend. Achmad.
Thanks Wati.
Achmad, I’m still your internet friend, I’ll publish it shortly but I’ll have to reword some of it, - for the future please no copy/paste from other sites, articles must be unique, so rewrite things if you want to publish them both here and your blog.
How about my blog Pure Thought? Well it’s not entirely talking about Indonesia but I’m Indonesian and it’s all about my pure thought as Indonesian woman living in big city like Jakarta ![]()
Sorry Friend. Achmad’s creativity is limitless. His genius his without bounds. I shall write unique articles for you, friend. Parvita, I am disappointed you didn’t nominate Achmad Tells It Like It Is.
Pure Thought
Patung did you go to Pesta Blogger? How was it?
No didn’t go. Different sort of crowd to here.
You mean there may have been less biggots? NOOO… ![]()
No, most people here are not bloggers, whether bigots I’ll leave it up to you.
hey patung, I quite like to nominate my own weblog actually, but it might be a bit over the top as a friend of mine once said: a weblog is to some extent a precise mirror of narcissism. However, we save that line for another discussion. Therefore, I could only offer one of my friend’s blog.. http://aliaswastika.multiply.com
Ok thanks Gil, got both of them.
When can we see the results? Unspun is also collecting blogs, though his is more for bridge-blogs. It’s interesting…is this a coincidence?
When? As soon as the script is finished, and I’m happy with it, - it’s actually going to be a somewhat complicated system of ranking.
Unspun, just a coincidence I guess, I’m doing both English and Indonesian ones, so far for English got about 80, I need at least 100…. for Indonesian, there are so many, hard to know where to start and where to stop.
