He reminded Indonesians to keep up the good fight against America, liberalism, capitalism and neo-colonialism.

Fight against those -isms is understandable. Everyone has his/her own opinion and has a right to preserve it. But against America? Are all American bad?
Although some guys in Pentagon are bad but without USA and its ally, the radical moslem would roam free. Life would be miserable.
It is an example of generalism by an idiot indo politician.

He said every country was therefore a potential enemy and that in his research and reading he had found that the signing of agreements between two countries actually represented the first stage in war between them, or “the first real war”.

Interesting research, Pak. I guess you would prefer complete isolation so you and your friends can keep muddling on without anybody watching. When will these guys learn that we are not living in the 50s anymore???

Unfortunately, these guys don’t give a sh*t about ‘national interests’ (i.e. about their voters’ interests) but only about filling their bank accounts and playing with their mistresses. There are too many parliamentarians that like Tjahjo try to play on nationalist sentiments to divert attention from their own incompetence. The recent spats about the UN Resolution on Iran and the DCA Agreement with Singapore are the best examples. What a bunch of useless idiots…

Entering negotiation with infidels only admits of weakness; if one is stronger, one simply prevails. Therefore negotiation is done only when there is no alternative, and then only to bide time for resumption of the struggle later, thus the Treaty of Hudaibiya comes to mind

Probably to his own dismay one day the guy may discover his way of thinking is not entirely different from the neocons of the “Project for the New American Century”.

The neocons proved to be a disaster. But to practice an unilateral foreign policy they at least had a superpower at their disposal. Tjahjo hasn’t, so he is just pathetic.

Indonesia should learn from Singapore and adopt a civil service test which all members of its government must pass. What a bunch of crap.

Is he stupid or what? Extradition agreement means that the Indonesian authorities will be able to ask another country to extradite Indonesian criminals in order to judge them in Indonesia. Remember many Indonesian financial criminals fled to Singapore since there was no extradition agreement between Indonesia and Singapre.

Rambutan has understood the all of it. Politician in Indonesia only think about one thing: getting as much money as possible to get the girls.

Or probably he is thinking of sending some of those RPKAD to snatch them back like the raid of Entebe. Or perhaps isolating Indonesia from the outside world so that no one will know what happens then.
