Same crap, different day. Israel can’t visit Bali, a majority-Hindu island, but the Indonesian government can buy hundreds of millions of dollars worth of weapons from Israel (which it has done for over a decade to keep its F-16s flying).
The visiting Israelis should be concerned of their safety, too
Apparently it is a classic movement of every religious party leader.
They are really on perpetual attempt to gain popularity, and they never let any opportunity away.
Either on their prophet cartoon issue, or on israel attack on libanon, or knesset visit to bali, or RUU-APP.
The real sad thing is nobody try to give more clear picture to the public (apart from little effort by Gus Dur), and seems to me that everybody wants the public as mis-informed as it is today.
“as a sign of Indonesia’s outrage at Israeli human rights crimes”
These people act as if Indonesia never commits any human rights crimes.
By all means, lets keep up the war! Dialogue is for children.
Janma.
*who wonders if Indonesian diplomacy is the art of saying ‘Nice Doggy’ while scouting around for the nearest rock.*
I thought Bali is not a part of Indonesia?
Sure feel like it’s not (in a very good way)
I pray to Yahwe for His protection over His chosen people, the Israeli’s Parliament Member, during their time in Indonesia!
Several year ago when I was still working with an international airlines company in Jakarta, my boss asked me to find some information about the Indonesian Immigration rules for Israeli people to visit Indonesia. Because there were some travel agent people from Israel would like to visit Indonesia.
I talked to a immigration officer over the phone and he gave me all the information. He also mentioned to me that Jewish people really need a special guard during their time of visit in Indonesia, because for moslem people to drink the blood of Jews is halal! I passed this information to my boss and the Israeli’s travel agent people never came to Indonesia.
Hi mcfadden,
It is sad, but the information you’ve acquired is most likely true. Considering the situations, it is best to avoid Indonesia for a foreseeable future, until things calmed down… for the best interest of both parties. But maybe Bali is safer, slightly…
I, on behalf of all Indonesian who want to apologize, want to apologize to you and all Israelis. These past 10 years have been extremely difficult for us with so many things going on (monetary crisis, government crisis, poverty, inter-everything clashes, chain of natural disasters, etc), and people are not thinking as clearly.
I will pray for Israel so that the unnecessary bloodshed will end as soon as possible, and your country can finally live in peace. I humbly ask you to pray for my country as well.
God Bless you.
Shalom Arema,
Thank you so much for your very nice comment. The Lord bless you abundantly and exceedingly!
By the way, I’m Indonesian by birth, but as a believer in Yeshua the Messiah, I believe that I am Abraham’s seeds and heirs according to the promise (Galatian 3:26-29). So, I believe that I’m a spiritual Jew!

It’s very sad and I’m so concern about the situation in Indonesia. I will keep Indonesia in my prayer. I was there when all the crisis started. But, on 2003 the Lord sent me to America for His glory. Since then I’ve been serving Him with my husband. Praise the Lord! All for for His glory and honor!
Let us keep Israel and the people in our prayer. Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem!
Have a blessed day in Yeshua.
