Ayaan Hirsi Ali

Mar 12th, 2007, in World, by

Ayaan Hirsi Ali continues her battle against Islam.

Muhammad, according to Ayaan Hirsi Ali, was a sexual pervert and a political-military tyrant. This attitude endears her to neither Muslims, of course, and nor to most westerners, westerners being people who generally feel uncomfortable when religion is brought up at all, but especially when done so in such a forceful way and when the criticism is directed against a religion other than Christianity, in this case Islam.

Even veteran Islam critic Robert Spencer, in The Truth about Muhammad, lets the prophet of Islam off the hook for his, according to some accounts, bedding of the nine year old girl (Aisha), given that it was not an unusual practice at that time and place. Hirsi Ali however clearly views the issue as vital.

Born in Mogadishu, Somalia in 1969, Ayaan Hirsi Ali was scheduled by her family to marry a distant relative when she sought asylum in Holland. There she eventually entered politics with the VVD, People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy. The following year she wrote the script for a short film called Submission, a film which contained scenes of abused women with Quranic verses written on their bodies. The film’s director, Theo Van Gogh, was later murdered by an outraged Muslim, and Ayaan Hirsi Ali went into hiding.

Later Ayaan Hirsi Ali’s citizenship of Holland was annulled, because she had lied on her asylum application, and she now lives in the United States.

Islam, according to Ali, is irretrievably evil. It has not been “hijacked” by fanatics, but the fanaticism it excites in some is intrinsic in the religion itself:

Islam, even Islam in its non-violent form, is dangerous.

The key problem in Islam, she says, is that Muslims are instructed to follow the example of Muhammad, but that in a modern society Muhammad’s example is a terrible, unacceptable one. Opinion Journal

Wow, I didnt know she was this ‘extreme’. I saw her interview and it didn’t seem that way at all. Well I have the book and will read it soon.

  2. Mohammed Khafi says:

I really don’t know who to feel more sorry for, the Mainstream Muslim or the Muslim haters, both of them seen to believe that the corrupted teachings that have taken over Islam are the real teachings of God. There is no place in religion for intolerance, narrow mindedness and hatred, but how to make people understand this?

    Peace

  3. Ihaknt says:

MK, hate and anger are the rawest energy. No one can think properly when they are clouded by these. That plus not knowing AND don’t want to know any better or learn from mistakes.

  4. Mohammed Khafi says:

She has certainly never been very far from controversy, one Dutch law maker described her as a “Liberal Fundamentalist”

This ideology is similar to orthodox Islam in the sense that it thinks its perspective is superior and all people should be forced to have it. He thinks the way these liberal fundamentalists try to debate with Islam, by taunting and insulting them is not constructive. They only deteriorate the relations between migrants and native Dutch people.

    Khafi,

Why you denied something has been determined by God himself that one’s of purpose God grounded Adams & Eva on the earth was to make their descendants becomes enemies each others. See Quran, it was clearly stated in there.

The perfect world’s for tolerance and free hatred are only your delusion in it will never happen in the real time soon or it will never exist in this real world’s.

    Yes Cuk it says,

“But the Shaitan made them both fall from it, and caused them to depart from that (state) in which they were; and We said: Get forth, some of you being the enemies of others, and there is for you in the earth an abode and a provision for a time.”

    But then it says,

“Then Adam received words from his Lord, so He turned to him mercifully; surely He is Oft-returning , the Merciful.”

“We said: Go forth from this (state) all; so surely there will come to you a guidance from Me, then whoever follows My guidance, no fear shall come upon them, nor shall they grieve.”

Do you see? Allah has said that any who follow his guidance has nothing to fear, or grieve about! He is saying that if you follow his word every one will have no enemies!

Why is it so difficult for you and your teachers to understand Allah’s message of goodness? Why do you all look for the bad in it instead of the good?

Don’t forget the next verse, this is important for you!

And those who disbelieve in and reject My communications, they are the inmates of the fire, in it they shall abide.

Cuk are you frightened of the West, of Christianity, of Modernity, of having to be responsible for your own actions instead of being told what is right and wrong?

“It is those who believe and confuse not their beliefs with wrong – that are (truly) in security, for they are on (right) guidance.” 6:82

If you were truly guided you wouldn’t have to have your ridiculous fears!

“Now surely the friends of Allah– they shall have no fear nor shall they grieve.”
    10:62

Tolerance and being loving are good, and intolerance and hatred are bad, even a small child can tell you that, at least until they start to be brainwashed.

Say: “Not equal are things that are bad and things that are good, even though the abundance of the bad may dazzle thee; so fear Allah, O ye that understand; that (so) ye may prosper.” 5:100

    Peace

    Khafi,

I am not living in fear for anything except toward God but I didn’t believe the tolerance world’s will prevail in this real world’s because God has decided so and the people who believe the tolerance teaching is only NATO members.

Since the beginning of the mankind history when Cain killed Abel, this world’s has been becames a battle ground from who recieved His guidance against who rejected His guidance and the beauty of this conflict each sides claim theirself who get His guidance.

Btw can you tell me where words “tolerance” clearly stated in Quran.

  8. Dimp says:

    Hi Cuk,

Not sure what kind of God you actually worship. But if your God doesn’t care for tolerance then there is either something wrong with your God, or something wrong with your perception of God.

When a person received God’s guidance and interpret correctly then he should have inner peace and doesn’t need to “battle” the ones who have not. The ones who have need to “battle” clearly receive “wrong” guidance or cannot interpret the His guidance properly.

  9. Mohammed Khafi says:

    Cuk Said:

Btw can you tell me where words “tolerance” clearly stated in Quran.

Although I don’t think you will pay any heed to Allah’s words I will give you some verses which illustrate tolerance:

“if they incline to peace, you also incline to it” 8:61
“God loves not the agressor” 2:190
“those who are Jews and Christians, and Sabians, whoever believes in God and the Last Day and do righteous good deeds shall have their reward with their Lord” 2:62
“There is no compulsion in religion, the Truth stands clear from falsehood” 2:256
“To you your religion, and to me my religion” 109:6

“To each of you God has prescribed a Law and a Way. If God would have willed, He would have made you a single people. But God’s purpose is to test you in what has given each of you, so strive in the pursuit of virtue, and know that you will return to God, and He will resolve all matters which you disagree” 5:49
“Work with one another in promoting goodness and piety, and do not work to promote crime and aggression, and fear God for God is severe in punishment” 5:2

The Quran tells Muslims that all faiths worship the same Lord, “say ‘We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you; our God and your God is One” 29:46

  10. Ismail says:

Hello Khafi, still enjoy reading your submissions, but I tend to think these days that your passion to defend the madness you guys called religion really does cloud and you are far removed from objective.
The verses you quote are countered by the following verse:

Qur’an:9:5 “Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, harass them, lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war.”

Qur’an 5:51 “Believers, take not Jews and Christians for your friends. They are but friends and protectors to each other.”

The verse 109:6 was not concieved as a premise for tolerance. I bet you are going to thump the “context” card, Muslims are just a mob when it comes to that defence method, when you quote a verse that supports your position I guess you don’t need the context.

Islam is simply satanic, I know the hate vibe saying that, but it’s the way it is.

Khafi, your sincerity was the reason I read you stuff, but I am beginning to think that you are like the Muslim apologists in the west, you are practicing taqqiya and that makes you as dangerous as they are.

  11. Cukurungan says:

    Dimp,

Here my God said to me in Quran, tell to Ahli Kitab (Jew, Christian) that I believe your holy book (Taurat and Injil) was from God that I worship and do you believe that Quran is from the same God you worship.

I am a small part of the main stream Moslem, we strongly believe that the hadist is very good guidance for us to become a good Moslem. In this regard our beloved prophet said: Whoever Moslem commits crime act (murder, cheat and bullying etc) toward non-Moslem who live peacefully in the Moslem community, I will challenge him in “Judgment Day” and those crime committer couldn’t even only smell the heaven or in other word in hell.

I think this message is a very crystal clear and make sense because if we as majority Moslem doing bad thing toward non-Moslem who then believe that the Islamic teaching is from God Himself.

Concerning the human conflict, it will be continue until the doom days and it has been proved along human history but most of those conflicts are a battle for domination and not for religion and those battles will not always be in militaristic terms.

    Thanks,
    sokpintarman

  12. Dimp says:

    Hi Cuk,

What do you mean by main stream Moslem? You actually said that you want the FPI to go after me, is this part of your understanding of Islam? So you agree with the way FPI is sweeping across Jakarta. Eliminating anything that they don’t agree with (I think the last one was a legitimate School that they claimed locals have issue with).

most of those conflicts are a battle for domination and not for religion

You clearly contradict yourself when you are saying:

this world’s has been becames a battle ground from who recieved His guidance against who rejected His guidance

So which one of this statement you go with?

  13. Cukurungan says:

    Dimp,

What is different your post to stop me talking with the FPI sweeping. It is excatly the same Mr Smart? The only difference, you don’t have the power to stop me while FPI has.

I will go with both statement because among groups in the conflict were using and manipulating the religion as a mask of their true purpose.

    thanks,
    sokpintarman

  14. Dimp says:

    Hi Cuk,

It is up to you if you want to write something without any thinking, and you are the one who wrote that you will ask FPI to go after me, so you obviously agree to their method.

I only ask you to THINK before you post, if not you better shut up, but if you don’t then it is your dignity on the line. I will not resort to violence like your FPI friends, who you consider have power.

  15. Cukurungan says:

    Dimp,

Should I said in detail, this is only joke and this is not, why you took so serious about I was asking FPI to chase you, even I did not know who you are and where are you? sorry Mr Smart, I was over estimating your IQ.

Why do you think I have a dignity? Where did you find I talked about my dignity, I am just nobody and don’t have anything on the stack.

Please remember “Mr Cukurungan bin Cukurmiring” is a dirty moslem, sokpintarman and don’t have dignity.

    Is that clear Mr Smart?

    thanks,
    sokpintarman

  16. Dimp says:

Alright then, you can proceed with your comments. I won’t be bothered commenting anymore. Just a pity that you (a dirty, “sok-pintar”, no-dignity) associate yourself with the main stream of Moslems.

  17. Cukurungan says:

    Dimp,

This time, You’re exactly correct if you were already sick with my comments just forget it. I am the lowest quality of the main stream moslem and my duties is to do a dirty work that it should not be done by a good and nice moslem.

The nice moslem should only talk about “indahnya kebersamaan, indahnya kedamaian, indahnya kerukunan, indanya toleransi” and so on about some nice thing whereas me prepare when things are going wrong and cleaning the garbage.

    thanks,
    sokpintarman

    Ismail said:

Ismail, I am certainly no apologist for Mainstream Islam, I will not tolerate their lack of understanding and narrow mindedness, they are just as full of intolerance as yourself, as you so clearly indicate. As I have tried to explain to you before, If you go looking for bad things, you will find them in any religious scripture, If your heart is pure and clean you will find goodness, if it is tainted with hatefullness and spite then of course you will only find evil. If you feel the need to attack somebody just attack those with your own narrow viewpoint, don’t keep digging at me for my belief. I would rather that all of you with narrow minds and hatred would just hurry up and finish each other off, and then the rest of us who know that it is possible to live together in peace and harmony will be able to do so.

One correction on AHA’s curriculum vitae; although working for a neocon thinktank in the US of A, she still is a dutch citizen.

  20. Yeah, I’ve read the book (just some chapters) and I’ve seen the video. No doubt that Ayaan Hirsi Ali is one of the most famoust Islam critics right now. But, there’s no doubt in me that Islam is the best religion in this world, we people of Islam are just too dumb that we can’t intrepret the religion correctly.

I’ve written an article about that issue, you guys might wanna check it out:

    Salam,

  21. Hassan says:

Ayaan Hirsi Ali? She smells like a sycophant and a boot-licker for hire.

Ismail: I have explained to you the proper context of those verses several times already. The verses didn’t mean as you thought it meant. But still, you came back with the same arguments over and over again. Perhaps all the hatred had clouded your reasoning, and have prevented you from understanding anything except things that you wanted to believe.

Mohammed Khafi: “I would rather that all of you with narrow minds and hatred would just hurry up and finish each other off, and then the rest of us who know that it is possible to live together in peace and harmony will be able to do so.”

And then we can have world peace and live happily ever after. How comforting. So that’s your utopic perfect world, a world raised from the ashes of the dead narrow-minded humans. Simply perfect!

Isn’t that the ultimate aim of Allah, Hassan? Isn’t that what Heaven and Hell is all about, but not just the haters and the bigots, but also those who do not believe in God?

The Sinners will end up in hellfire (the ashes of the dead), the believers will end up in Heaven (utopia)?

Or don’t you beleive what Allah says about that either?

    Peace

  23. Hassan says:

Mohammed Khafi: But we weren’t talking about heaven and hell, were we? As I remembered it you were talking to Ismail and said :

“If you feel the need to attack somebody just attack those with your own narrow viewpoint, don’t keep digging at me for my belief. I would rather that all of you with narrow minds and hatred would just hurry up and finish each other off, and then the rest of us who know that it is possible to live together in peace and harmony will be able to do so.”

And about this, “Or don’t you believe what Allah says about that either?”

Of course I do. Hey, I do believe in the Quran and we never argued about that fact. Our arguments revolved around the Hadith, remember? Besides, wasn’t it you Brother Khafi who likes to question certain things mentioned (literally) in the Quran, like the miracles, the creation of Adam & Hawa, etc.? 🙂

  24. Mohammed Khafi says:

What is wrong with peace and harmony then Hassan? What do you have against them?

Our arguments revolved around the Hadith, remember? Besides, wasn’t it you Brother Khafi who likes to question certain things mentioned (literally) in the Quran, like the miracles, the creation of Adam & Hawa, etc.?

Well I certainly like to question your literal understanding of these issues Hassan:

“Read: In the name of thy Lord who created man from a clot. Read: And thy Lord is the Most Generous Who taught by the pen, taught man that which he knew not.” 96:1-5

“And they shall say had we but listened or used reason, we would not be among the inmates of the burning fire.” 67:10

“Are those who have knowledge and those who have no knowledge alike? Only the men of understanding are mindful. 39:9

And the Qur’an exhorts the Muslims to do scientific research:.

“And whoso bringeth the truth and believeth therein such are the dutiful.” 39:33

Every Muslim man’s and every Muslim woman’s prayer should be:

“My Lord! Enrich me with knowledge..”em> 20:114

If you wish to see verses which were used in a way which ignorant uneducated desert Arabs could understand, to illustrate such things as mankinds fall from the Grace of God etc., that is up to you. But it does’t show much understanding of Allah’s Scientific laws does it? 😉

    Peace

  25. Hassan says:

Mohammed Khafi: Oh, and another thing, “Isn’t that the ultimate aim of Allah, Hassan?”

I don’t know about that statement Khafi, I kind of agreed that it was the ultimate outcome that Allah had promised, but Allah SWT’s real aim in creating humans then testing us in this thing called ‘life’ is still a relative mistery to me.

I mean, if His sole wish was to create an utopic community filled with His creations in it, then all He had to do was say “Be!” and so it shall be. There must be other reasons when He said, “I know what ye know not” to the angels. This is an interesting topic indeed.

“What is wrong with peace and harmony then Hassan? What do you have against them?”

I don’t have anything against them, no matter how naive as it may be (even as naive as ‘world peace’). What I don’t particularly enjoy is to hear some ‘enlightened’ person telling some less enlightened one to go find other less enlightened people so they can kill each other. I know you said it out of frustation and all, but your words to Ismail just sounded too self-righteous, selfish, and violent.

Yes perfect, if in this world narrow minded people and haters should die first by killing each other so that the enlightened ones may flourish and live happily ever after.

“Are those who have knowledge and those who have no knowledge alike? Only the men of understanding are mindful. ” 39:9

Men of understanding, not men of logic alone (as all humans have logic). ‘Understanding’ means possessing knowledge. Knowledge is also the kind of information passed down the generations, Hadith is also one of such knowledge. 😉

“If you wish to see verses which were used in a way which ignorant uneducated desert Arabs could understand, to illustrate such things as mankinds fall from the Grace of God etc”

Have you consulted Allah SWT and were personally informed that those miracles were mere “illustrations”? If not then you’re speculating.

“But it does’t show much understanding of Allah’s Scientific laws does it?”

Are you saying that the verses about the miracles doesn’t give us much understanding of Allah’s law? So some verse in the Quran give us understanding, and some don’t? Is it not true that if He wrote the law, then He could exempt Himself from such a law? Is He also the subject of His own law?

Lastly, is it not true that His knowledge and laws covers both the visible things and the sublime? How can the scientific material laws explain the unseen (the djinns, fate, etc.)?

  26. Mohammed Khafi says:

    Hassan said:

I don’t know about that statement Khafi, I kind of agreed that it was the ultimate outcome that Allah had promised, but Allah SWT’s real aim in creating humans then testing us in this thing called ‘life’ is still a relative mistery to me.

Glad I am not the only one! 🙂

What I don’t particularly enjoy is to hear some ‘enlightened’ person telling some less enlightened one to go find other less enlightened people so they can kill each other. I know you said it out of frustation and all, but your words to Ismail just sounded too self-righteous, selfish, and violent.

Of course you are correct Hassan, but as enlightened as I am, I am only Human with all the human failings! 😉

Men of understanding, not men of logic alone (as all humans have logic).

After years of abuse by Golkar, so many people voted for them in the first free elections we have ever had, where is the logic in that? I don’t think all humans have logic Hassan.

‘Understanding’ means possessing knowledge. Knowledge is also the kind of information passed down the generations, Hadith is also one of such knowledge.

When we have so many injunction from Al Quran telling us to check things for ourselves, and to not even follow our fathers, I don’t really think that blindly followed handed down information counts, what is wrong in the beginning is not made right by by being passed down from generation to generation:

    Truly they found their fathers on the wrong Path;
So they (too) were rushed down on their footsteps!
And truly before them, many of the ancients went astray;-
But We sent aforetime, among them, warners;-
Then see what was the end of those who were warned,-
Except the chosen Servants of Allah.
    37:69-74

Just in the same way, whenever We sent a warner (i.e. a messenger who calls to the worship of Allah the Almighty) before you to any people, the wealthy ones among them said, “We found our fathers following a certain religion, and we will certainly follow in their footsteps.” 43:23

“When it is said to them, follow what Allah has revealed, they say, No! We shall follow the way of our fathers. What! Even though their fathers were void of wisdom and guidance?” 5:104

Again we have had this discusssion in the past. When Scientific evidence clearly points to evolution, I will follow that knowing that all the laws of Physics and Nature are created by Allah. The desert Arabs, would not have understood the principles of modern science, it stands to reason that Allah would have created an illustrative story to get a point across to them. This is not speculation it is common sense.

Are you saying that the verses about the miracles doesn’t give us much understanding of Allah’s law? So some verse in the Quran give us understanding, and some don’t? Is it not true that if He wrote the law, then He could exempt Himself from such a law? Is He also the subject of His own law?

Of course He could exempt himself from His own Law, but why would He have need to?

Lastly, is it not true that His knowledge and laws covers both the visible things and the sublime? How can the scientific material laws explain the unseen (the djinns, fate, etc.)?

He it is Who has sent down to thee the Book: In it are verses basic or fundamental; they are the foundation of the Book: others are allegorical. But those in whose hearts is perversity follow the part thereof that is allegorical, seeking discord, and searching for its hidden meanings, but no one knows its hidden meanings except Allah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: “We believe in the Book; the whole of it is from our Lord:” and none will grasp the Message except men of understanding. em> 3:07
